Wonderful tour. lovely wine tasting and visiting Hanndorf.
The bus was very comfortable and very well maintained. The Driver- David gave us a very informative and continuous commentary which added a lot of value to the trip. We thought the itinerary was well chosen and worthwhile. The passenger were of mixed ages from retirees to uni graduates- we all mixed well. I would recommend this tour to all
Friendly driver who shared lots of interesting information. Morning tea and lunch were excellent. It was a great day out.
it was interesting but I thought we may go to more wineries
great day thankyou!!!! great bus driver!!!!!!!
An enjoyable day. The guide at the first winery was Asian and it was very difficult for most of us to understand her. Also because we were 5 mins late back to the bus at Hahndorf, the driver took the expressway back to Adelaide instead of driving through the towns and villages he promised.....a shame. Overall an enjoyable day with a nice lunch but one hour was not enough in Hahndorf and we would have preferred less time at the wineries and more time in Hahndorf.
The tour and tour guide were exceptional. Food at the lunch restaurant was quite good as well. Hahndorf is a charming little town as well. Gray Line Tours were amazing. I would use them exclusively if they handled all tours in Australia.
Bus driver was friendly and informative. The 2 wineries visited however were not well known and wine tasting didn't tempt anyone to purchase their wares. Lunch was very nice.
The trip was wonderful!! The bus driver/tour director Terry was incredibly knowledgable about the buildings and history of the entire region!! Food delicious!! Wine so-so, but then I'm from Calif. where we have Napa to compare it to!!
Great way to spend a day and discover the Barossa Valley. Terry, our tour guide, was entertaining and extremely informative. Highlights were definitely the delicious lunch and walking through Handhorf plus great photo opportunities at the Whispering Wall Dam. Richmond Grove Winery was a beautiful setting but didn't think much of their wine... perhaps a different winery in the future might be a better choice. Highly recommended tour.
We enjoyed our Barossa Valley trip very much. The bus driver gave insightful and interesting commentary and was humorous as well. The only downside was that the tour time changed from 9.30am departure to 9.15am and we weren't contacted by the tour company until 9.14am at which stage we were walking to the departure point. As a result we missed the tour bus but fortunately we were driven through Adelaide on a chase to catch the bus. Embarassingly the people on the bus gave us a round of applause when we finally boarded the bus.
there were a nice trip in the morning, but the bus break down on the way to Hahndorf, driver David work hard, I really disappointed, I like to visit the Germany village, your company need refound some money for us.
Although not a wine drinker, and having embarked on many tours around the world, this tour was fantastic. I learned so much from our coach driver who was very knowledgeable on the history of the areas, people and various trivia that made the whole trip enjoyable.
Next time I am back in Adelaide, I look forward to enjoying another trip with Grayline.
