5 star hotel isn't really a 5 star hotel. It would be better if customer can pay more for the premium 5 star option which wasn't available for us when we travelled. It would be even better if the trip could be slightly modified to include Aqaba on the way so we didn't have to travel down specifically for Aqaba.

Doing what: Private Tour: Petra Day Trip from Amman

It was an amazing experience to visit Petra...

The trip was absolutely amazing. Everything was looked after and my driver was brilliant. I was by myself so could do something's when I wanted and we could change things time permitting. I would definitely recommend people doing a viator tour anywhere.

Doing what: Private Tour: Petra Day Trip from Amman

Good value; all went off smoothy and plenty of time was allowed - no pressure to meet at a certain time and several good refreshment stops en-route. The guide in Petra was excellent; a great sense of humour and held our attention throughout. Excellent - well worth the (reat deal of) money the ticket cost! Could have got a similar trip cheaper from the hotel we stayed in - but the quality of this trip was well worth the extra

Doing what: Private Tour: Petra Day Trip from Amman

7am start is too early for going to Petra from Amman, because you get there during the hottest part of the day. The guide they gave us was mediocre and the driver took us to 2 different souvenir shops, "for coffee." You are probably better off staying some place nearby and getting a really early start there, or going much later in the day to avoid the heat.

Do not get the cart ride, the drivers are not nice to their horses.

Petra is definitely worth going to, just don't do it with these guys. Figure something else out.

Well, it couldn't have been any better! I loved it. The guides, sightseeing, all good English speakers and knowledgeable of the history of the places. Special thanks to the driver, very responsible, kind and patient. Thank you Viator for providing me another great experience. I certainly recommend it.

We had a fantastic guide who was flexible, knowledgeable and very proud of his home country. Great way to see an amazing country in just a few days!
We changed our itinerary to skip Wadi Rum so that we could have maximum time at the Dead Sea. Would have been a long day of driving and only a 20min dip in the Dead Sea if we had decided to do Wadi Rum. Just means we will have to go back one day.
Highly recommend this tour to all!

Great tour and great driver - recommended

Doing what: Private Tour: Petra Day Trip from Amman

A wonderful day spent in Petra. The door-to-door service and the guides were extremely kind and knowledgable. Anyone visiting Jordon should grab the opportunity to visit Petra. It's a gem and at times you won't know where to look!

Doing what: Private Tour: Petra Day Trip from Amman

The only negative about this trip is there simply isn't enough time to explore the wonders of Petra but it was a day trip!

Doing what: Private 4-Day Jordan Special Tour: Petra, Wadi Rum and The Dead Sea

Our trip was fantastic mainly due to our wonderful guide Ziad. He made our trip a very memorable one. Each day he was on time to pick us up and despite the great distance he had to drive to take us around he was always friendly and most helpful. We were really impressed.

Good way to see the sights but there was lots of room for improvement. The hotels we stayed in were pretty terrible, I didnt expect much but got even less. The driver and all the tour guides were constantly trying to squeeze more and more money out us which became really annoying. The amman city tour which lasted approx 3 hours including an average dinner that we had already paid for cost us 150! Everyone expected a tip even when you have paid to do an activity and the service dosnt merit a tip.

We enjoyed the whole trip. Highlight was Petra, of course. We would specially like to recommend the Great View Hotel which has fantastic views. Food was also very good, room was large and clean, and the staff was helpful. It is easy to see that the hotel has good management. It had also nice outdoor pool which we did not use. The guide who took us through Petra was engaged on the spot and was not good. He wanted to speed up the whole thing and finish it as quickly as possible.

The trip involves a lot of time travelling in a car. The driver's english was fine and he was very accommodating but drove a little too fast for our liking. The hotel staff spoke good english and were friendly and the meals and rooms were OK.
