Doing what: Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

On the 1st day we went to do the hop on hop off, no address as to where to pick up the tickets ! asked a couple of tourist shops but kept getting sent to others very disstressing. We finally got out tickets on the bus. Tour its self was very good, got off at Anne Franks house to a hour que, get jump the que tickets. Got off at the heiniken experience, excellent would highly recommend this.

I feel the city tour should have been last. As by the time we got to the windmills they were not operating!! The tour guide just didn't want to be there!

Watch out for the older female driver, she is crazy and drives that way. Scary! Some waits were as long as an hour, irradic schedules

Too cold for flowers to bloom, city tour not worth it, take hop on/hop off tour its better and more informative

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Andrew G, April 2013
Doing what: Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

The Hop-On Hop-Off bus was not really much to get excited about. Amsterdam is not a big city and the route was not very long and traffic was quite heavy so we spent quite a bit of time on the bus without going very far. The commentary was OK and as you would expect for such a tour. I did not think the bus stops were very well signposted although we personally didn't have any problem getting on and off.
We extended the tour with a canal boat trip and that was well worth it. Seeing Amsterdam from the canals gave you a different perspective and the boat was fine and the commentary good. I would certainly recommend the boat trip but it is fairly easy to walk most of the bus route so in my view not really worth it although it does of course allow you to get your bearings.

Too late to see the windmills in full operation as very late in the afternoon. We should have gone to Zaanse Schans Windmills first then onto Volendam.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour

Not good at all! Half the time visiting a diamond factory.
Guide spook more spanish than english. Very poor information sorry to say.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. My son age 13 and I. We were only in Amsterdam for 4 days. This trip was on day 3, after 2 days of walking and maximizing our time in Amsterdam it was a welcome day spent on a bus, drinking in the sites of Amsterdam out of the city. The tour guide was wonderful, the city tour proved insightful and meaningful after having walked many of the arears. The Zaanse Schans Windmills were breathtaking as was the experience of Volendam and Marken. A would definately recommend this tour.

I think it will be a good idea to include a small drink a a donut during the trip every one was very hungry and It just look VERY cheap no to have that. I am sure that nobody will care payin 5-7 more euros for a 2 euro "meal".

Doing what: Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Pleasant, helpful and friendly bus driver, interesting and informative tour. Well worth adding in the canal trip to give the perspective from the lowest level available!

The trip was great i met along with nice people and i would likely recommend others to be on this trip.

Doing what: Amsterdam Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Although we didn't get much to be off and on ( again, it was misty and 32F that day), so all we did just got in to see the city and got off for the canal cruise. Otherwise, it covered the most interesting places in Amsterdam.

The tour was broken into two halves, with different buses and guides. The first half was tour of the city, a stop a the Zananse Schans Windmill and a tour of the diamond factory. You see the city from the bus and make a 10 minute stop to take a picture infront of a windmill. The city is small enough that you can really get more out of traveling on your own by foot. The second half of the tour ROCKED!!! (As evidenced by the fact that the bus was completely full for this portion). Our guide was fantastic and the villages of Volendam and Marken were fun. Surprisingly, the woodend shoe factory was my favorite part of the trip. You definately need to take a tour of somekind to see something outside of the city proper. I would just recommend booking the second portion of the tour as a stand alone tour, rather then the one including the city tour.
