Really enjoyed this tour of City. Flower market was breath taking in it's beauty. Max was a fun and experienced guide.
Beautiful gardens. Great central location near the cruise terminal and train station for tour start and end. Much better price than cruise excursion price.
This tour was amazing!
Beautiful gardens. The three hours spent there was about the right amount of time.
This tour was amazing. Great views and tour of windmills. Interesting show making. Really fun cheese production show and taste. Note-volunteer to be in the show! Really good tasting lunch in a small fishing village. The trip was also very informative of the area.
Excellent tour. Advise all travelers to pre-book events and use hop on hop off tour facility.
Well organised, very good guide, saw a lot in the time used.
Good value and certainly epitomises what "Holland" was like in the early days.Windmills were a sensational sight! More time in Volendam would be nice.Cheesemaking demonstration was PATHETIC.More like a comedy sketch!!
Excellent, best time of the year.
My children and I went with Asterisk and she was great, the driver was funny. The tour itself was great and we saw so much and although there were time restraints, it didn't feel rushed. It was a great tour with every minute of it accounted for and well worth it.
Nice boat tour, didn't go to the museum
Just right amount of time at the garden and the various departure options makes it even easier.
so simple - handed over voucher for canals which was excellent and the van gogh voucher could be used next day which was great as canal network quite extensive. queues at museum were enormous on sunday so fantastic for us.
This was an excellent trip. The Keukenhof gardens were spectacular. The tour information on the coach was also very good.
Tour was very informative and guides were very helpful. However, the tour did not state that it was a walking tour. The walk to the windmills was excessive and spoilt the start of the afternoon. Visitor is visually impaired and. We should have been told that it was a walking tour before booking the tour. The guides were concerned that we had paid for the tour because of this.
This tour was amazing!
Great tour. The Keukenhof Gardens were absolutely beautiful. The only glitch was the morning check in. We didn't know that we had to turn in our vouchers for tickets. We got to the meeting spot early - before it was open - so went for a cup of coffee. When we returned, we saw a woman in front of the meeting spot with a Keukenhof sign on a pole so we followed her to the bus. When we tried to board they asked for our tickets. People - it is crazy busy at the tourist office at 8:30. My advice for others is to stop by the office the day before in the afternoon and exchange your voucher for a ticket then. Otherwise it starts the tour on a unnecessarily frenzied note. Other than that - the trip was great.
Our only regret is that we didn't do a full day tour! The tour gave a great overview of the areas outside of Amsterdam. We traveled by bus and also by boat on Lake Isslmeer. We saw wonderful windmills and got a good overview of Marken and Volendam. and Marken. It was great to have time to have an excursion on Lake Isslmeer which gave an entirely different perspective than just a land tour. We enjoyed a great lunch...the fish was delectable. I think the highlight was seeing all the windmills and learning about how they work and the power that they generated in the past and into the present day.. It was great value for the price as it included a great deal in the half day tour.
It was myself and my niece (8) and nephew (6) on the afternoon excursion. In brief we all loved it. I thought it was such excellent value and the kids had a fantastic time. The pace was quite fast but it kept the kids engaged. The organization was professional, the ticket booking, the organization at the buses (long lines but it went quickly and smoothly), the driver and guide. The downsides, well, more time would be nice in Zaanse Schans, we only saw one windmill and had time to take the kids to the bathroom and we had to go, the recommended restaurant, though inexpensive did not have space for us, and there would not have been time to eat if we'd waited, at the wooden shoe shop, we did not have time to try and purchase clogs for all of us, only for 1 and Marken stalls were all closed as we arrived after business hours. A suggestion of a couple of restaurants would have been good. The person who guided us from the Ticketing office to the Bus was unhelpful and caused some stress, less time for dinner to give more time for either Marken or Zaanse Schans.. And yes, we totally understand it's a lot of activity to pack into a 1/2 day. I give it high marks and my feedback is highlighting more negatives only because I think that's most valuable.
Skip the line is just shorter wait of the two lines about 10 minutes. Some how everybody has the same idea. For more convenience, recommend avoid exchanging the voucher for HOHO.
Enjoyed the perspective of the city from the canal. Easy access to Van Gough Museum.
LOTS of walking, so be prepared. Started in Volendam, then took boat to Marken, then bussed to Zaanse Schans. I would have preferred more time in ZS and less time in Volendam.
A must see place to visit when in the Netherlands. The guide was was very knowledgeable and entertaining and even though it rained a little (as it does in Holland) we had a very enjoyable day. On the negitive we a nice lunch break in Vollendam but the day felt a bit rushed. For a quick visit to Amsterdam this tour let you see the other side of the Netherlands.
The ticket to the museum was wonderful. There was practically no wait, The commentary on the boats were typical. The captains were friendly and quite knowledgeable The tour was well worth the money. On the other hand the directions for where to catch the canal bus were vague and the busses were not that regular.
The ticket kiosk was very close to my hotel and the vendor hadn't heard of the "shore excursion" part of the tour. That was fine for me as I didn't realize that this was supposed to be a "pick you up at your ship" excursion in the first place. I received the tickets no problem. Bypassed the line at Van Gogh, which was about 30 people, I arrived around 10 in the a.m. The line was MUCH longer when I left, mind you. The canal pass was great too. The advantage of booking with Viator is that there is a reservation when I get there. There are other companies out there but this is a reliable company that offers great tours with knowledgeable guides. That being said, this excursion did not have a guide for either the museum or the canals.
