It was pretty convenient to have access to the canal bus all day and the Heineken Experience was amazing!
Canal bus is an interesting way to see parts of Amsterdam however to call it a 24 hour pass is inaccurate as it does not commence until after 10.00 and finishes at 17.00. The Heineken Experience was fantastic with innovative interactive and experiential displays to demonstrate the brewing process, samples of 4 different beers and 2 large glasses at the conclusions. Lots of very happy people!! Oh, by the way the brewery is half way between canal bus stops so quite a walk required.
Great way to see the sights! Only downside was the time frame in being able to travel on all 4 routes in 24 hours - is worth the money though!
Heineken experience is great fun...much better than I thought, you could stay for hours and hours so make sure you give yourself enough time!!
Heineken tour was really neat. The canal bus is also good but doesn't run late so you will probly have to use all 24 hours to see everything with canal bus.
Canal bus =a Very nice way to see the city. Heineken Experience = one long corporate advertisement, but fun.
If you like Heineken (and YOU SHOULD) then this is worth it. The hop on is very easy to find and figure out and a great way to get around if you are not in a hurry. People are pushy getting on and off.
This is a fun combo ! The Heineken Experience is a fun tour great place to drink beer at the end. Its not guided so you can skip all the boring parts if you like. It's a little touristy, but overall I would do it again. The Hop-on is also very fun, it's actually a great taxi around the city and probably saved us money going from place to place. Its informative and casual.
Loved the coupons that came with this hop-on hop-off tour...saved us some when we went to the Heineken Shop. The canals in Amsterdam are beautiful and I highly suggest everyone do this tour as Amsterdam is gorgeous when viewed from the canals.
Very worthwhile, however while we were there in January, many canals were frozen, and we had to use the tram to get to several places we had planned to go by canal bus. The Heineken Experience was great!
Many canals were frozen in January 2010, and we were not informed that certain stops could not be made, therefore we had to get off and rely on other transportation. Canal experience is good, but as a form of transportation, we would recommend the trams. The Heineken Experience was lots of fun, leave plenty of time so as not to be rushed.
The canal bus is great no problems there. Buying tickets ahead of time for the Heineken Experience didn't end up being beneficial. We were relieved that we didn't have to wait in the ticket line, but after we waited in the entrance line much shorter-- only about 40 people, we were told that we couldn't bring our coats inside. We had to check our coats, and the line for the coat check was easily 80 people. And actually there wasn't a line it was just a hoard of people pushing toward one or two employees checking coats. After waiting around 20 minutes in that without getting any closer, we ended up giving our tickets away and leaving.
Everybody should do this trip. Heineken was interesting and full of fun. Loved the 3 beers token. Excellent!!!
