After some difficulty finding out where to get on the right canal bus the rest of the canal experience and Van Gogh Museum ( which is still housed at the wonderful building The Hermitage) were wonderful and not to miss Amsterdam highlights. The pre-paid museum ticket saved a short wait in line mid-season but you must remember to exchange your voucher for an entry token.

Doing what: Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off

It was wonderful. What a great way to see and get around Amsterdam ! We didn't visit any of the tourist attractions but went on all 3 canal bus routes making it a very enjoyable day. My back problem made it difficult for me to walk very far so the canal bus was an ideal way of getting about.

Doing what: Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off

It is the most convenient way to see the city, the boats are comfortable, centrally heated.

Doing what: Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off

Excellent way to get around the city and see the sights. Disappointed that part of route was not accessible but we still thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The Van Gogh museum was great, although a bit crowded, but what can you expect. It took us a while to find a place to hop on the Canal boat, and it didn't turn up after waiting 15 minutes past its supposed arrival time, so we decided to walk instead. Kind of a shame.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Amsterdam and Holland Pass

This was very useful to have - but it seems that only certain tickets can be used in certain places. The designs on the tickets correspond with certain things, and I was unaware of this. I got to the Science Museum and they asked me for a ticket with a certain picture, but I'd already used that.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Amsterdam and Holland Pass

This pass is ideal if you want to cram a lot in over a few days. Saved us money on a number of visits to various attractions. Would highly recommend especially if you know what you want to do before you go!

Doing what: Skip the Line: Amsterdam and Holland Pass

This card is pretty good. Lets you skip the line very easily. i recommend you do a bit of research as to what you would like to use it for. there are heaps of things to do and you get only 7 passes with this. So use wisely. but it is worth the money. You end up saving atleast 30 euros. And this pass is for someone who is interested to do most things on the list. Use the 7 ticket one if you are staying for 3 or more days,. Use the others if you are making a short trip.

Ths was a great way to be introduced to Amsterdam and the canals. The first stop was the Anne Frank House and because it was at opening time we did not have a long wait. This was un unbelievable experience. We then went shopping at The Dam. We got back on the canal bus and got off at Rijksmuseum as my husband and I both like Rembrandt. We had lunch in the vicinity and then got back on the canal bus continuing to The Hermitage where the Van Gogh exhibit was. We love Van Gogh so enjoyed the tour(which was included in our pass. A successful day and a great way to see sights at your own pace.

This was a great way to get around Amsterdam. Well worth doing. It showed a different pespective from the canals. We loved Amsterdam. A week wasn't long enough!

Doing what: Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop On Hop Off Day Pass and Heineken Experience

Great experience - busy day at Heineken, so pretty crowded, but still a very good day!
Hop-on, Hop off canal bus was great, though we probably could have utilised it better. But that was our doing!
