Very good tour and Terry was brilliant. It was raining and me and my husband were the only ones on the tour, which was good because it felt like a private tour. Terry took us the best spots of Amsterdam and explained the history behind it.
We booked this tour for our first day so we could find our way round Amsterday and find out things we should add to our itinerary but, given that all the people on the tour were English speaking, it was really bad that the guide was Spanish. She didn't seem to have a planned route and kept saying "where shall we go next? I know I'll take you ......" and we had to give her the English words for a lot of things she was trying to say. Also she gave us some information which, we found out later in the week, that was totally wrong.
This was one of the beter walking tours we have done, covering a lot of ground with a very knowledgable guide.
The very best information in a relaxed way, would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam and do it earlier in your trip so you have time to appreciate all that is around you.
Good introduction to Amsterdam on our first visit. Punctual, friendly guide who engaged well with us, answering our many questions. Only four people on the tour that day. Stopped off for "coffee" en route. Spent 3.5 hours in total learning about the city and it's people past and present. Pace of tour easy and we recommend it as a starting point to a visit to Amsterdam.
Did the 3 hour walking tour with local guide (well Irish local!) Terry who was excellent. A good mixture of facts and entertaining stories and well worth doing. Suggest you do it early in your trip in order to get your bearings early on. Terry had a good source of useful info for the rest of your trip. He recommended a trip to Kaukenhoff Gardens (only available March to May), which we did and we're very grateful to him for the advice as is the gardens were beautiful.
Excellent host for the walking tour of the city.
Lots of detailed information regarding the ancient and modern history of Amsterdam. Taken to many areas of the city and shown significant buildings to learn how they are linked through the different periods.
Would certainly recommend this trip.
Although the weather was less than desirable, the tour however was indeed the opposite! Terry out guide was very knowledgeable and had many tidbits to share as we made our way. We quite enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this tour to any Amsterdam tourist!
Brilliant guide and fantastic informative tour. Well worth a Sunday morning seeing the true history of Amsterdam.
Terry is an awesome guide, knowledgable, friendly, funny, a good story-teller. We enjoyed the tour very much, a very "must" tour. Thanks a lot Terry.
Rained most of the afternoon, but the guide (Terry) was excellent and kept the pace just right. Only the two of us had booked for that afternoon, so really good service.
nice overview and introduction about Amsterdam city, but not necessary must pass through the red light district, please. Only 2 of us joined the 2pm tour, so it's kinda private and we're unable to take many pictures as we feel bad with the guide if we take picture when he's explaining. The accent is very British and fast hence unable to understand much. But overall it's a good experience indeed.
