We didn't have much time in the Netherlands, so this was the perfect day trip to see a glimpse of this beautiful country. The Delft Blue factory tour and Madurodam were highlights.
Doing what: Holland in One Day Sightseeing Tour
Nicely organized tour, covered all the scenic spots including Marken and the windmills. Trip to Cheese factory was great and everyone got to taste a variety of cheeses. Stop at Madurodam could have been bit longer as there was a lot to see. Overall great one-day trip.
Great afternoon outing from Amsterdam. We traveled on a comfortable bus with a female guide who seemed to switch effortlessly among 5 languages. We appreciated the opportunity to wander around on our own to view different types of historic windmills and visit the shops at Zaanse Schans. Delightful grounds and restored homes. Then it was on to Delft, where we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely town square and exploration of the scenic nearby lanes, as well as a visit to one of the 2 remaining Delft pottery factories (fulfilled a long-held desire for a genuine Delft plate). Our tour of The Hague was done strictly by coach, but that was fine with us. We definitely got a good overview of the government buildings, embassies, Peace Palace, and the International Court of Justice. A few of my photos were problematic, but fortunately our last stop was at Madurodam, where I got great pictures of several of the same buildings--only these buildings were 1:25 scale model replicas! We had about an hour to view famous Dutch castles, churches, public buildings, and transportation systems. There was even a great model of Schiphol Airport with miniature planes that moved around the tarmac. The drive back to Amsterdam was quick and pleasant. All in all, we had a marvelous time and felt that the excursion was well worth the money.
Nice combination tour to see Netherland's highlights in one day. Coach was very comfortable and guide informative. See authentic windmills, wooden shoe and cheese making, Delft, fishing village, and drive by Hague. Thought Madurodam would be a tourist trap stop to fill out the afternoon, but was pleasantly surprised. It 's one of the highlights of the tour. Realistic and interactive models bring out the child in everyone. Definitely worth seeing.
Superb! A very packed day in two parts. Great guides and wonderful sites - we learnt a lot about aspects of Dutch heritage and life through this tour. Would have loved to spend time on the ground in Den Haag rather than Madurodam, although that site was immensely interesting and innovative, but it was quite wonderful overall. Highly recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyable time, could have spent more time day at the Windmills or Madurodam but a great overview of the Netherlands. Loved Volendam and cruise to Maken. Well worth it.
Very nice tour. ESP the morning part was excellent, enjoyed the clog factory as well as windmills, though we ran little short of time towards the end and had to rush through the windmills. Audio commentary was excellent and informative. Madurodam is fabulous. Well worth the money. Great tour.
The high light for me was Madurodam great day .
The trip was extremely memorable and the tour guide was very helpful and accommodating! Entire trip was well organised. Some comments on improvement include the visit to the Delft factory was boring, the time allowed at Madurodam should be extended for another 30 mins! Otherwise, we all had fun and I highly recommend to anyone who wants a truly enjoyable experience!
A fabulous trip - such a lot of the countryside seen in just one day. Our favorites were the windmills and Madurodam. Would highly recommend.
Volendam is a cute township picturesque houses and could have spent a lot more time there.Cheese and clog factories were interesting as were the windmills.
The lunch at Delft was good and interesting visit to the Delft pottery.
Madurodam was great to see, but a bit of a long stop
I loved the whole trip except for the Hague. Just a big city and not much to see. Loved the Windmills, Delft and the Madurodam.
we enjoyed a lot this trip, the view from Euromass,Delft, the guide(very gentle, a woman, I don't remeber the name) adviced also to visit by ourselves De Nieuwe Kerk Delft with the grave of Guglielmo D'Orange.Instead of Madurodam, I'd rather prefer a short stay al Hague, near Mauritshuis. I highly recommend this trip also for older people, because you can see beutiful places, and you don't have to walk a lot. We are looking always after one day trip with Viator, well organized, by the way, we'll be in Germany in August, one day trip from Berlin to Dresda, and another one from Hamburg to Lubecca.

Absolutely amazing trip, wasn't sure if the content would be a little too 'old' for me (I always associate coach trips with pensioners). But this was really great. Madurodam was really beautiful and we got some time there to sample the food, have a drink and a little walk. The windmills were beautiful, and we got enough time there to explore on our own. Loved the cheese and clog factories. We were a bit late when getting back from the morning tour and missed the main coach for the afternoon tour, no worries for them though, they simply put us on a small coach on our own with a tour guide and we had a very personal tour. Really made us feel welcome and an amazing example of customer service.
Well worth the money. Will look at using viator whenever we go abroad.
Hubby and I was late due to train breakdown, however was offered by the kind manager of the tour company, Mr. Erik, personally driving us to join the group at Volendam. The guide is very knowledgeable and the driver was excellent. Except for The Hague, which we were just taken around the place on the coach, we really enjoyed the trip especially at the fishing village (Volendam and Markem) and Zaanse Schans Windmills. Time at Madurodam was also limited.
