Had a great introduction to Amsterdam from our tour guide Sean. It was only the two of us on the tour as others hadn't turned up, so it felt like a really personal tour. We saw all the main sights and some others like a hidden church we would never found ourselves. It really helped us get our bearings which for first time visitors was great. Would highly recommend this tour.
I think the tour was good and informational - we saw a good amount of the city but I think using central station as a point of reference rather than dam square I find more useful than where the tour started. While it makes sense and seeing dam square is important, I had a difficult time getting my bearings while I was there.
Oriana cruise ship docked several hours late, so unable to partake in walking tour. Pre paid costs lost. Lesson to cruisers - probably best to sign up to free walking tours if you do not want to put money at risk.
Please ignore rating as the three of us were unble to experience the tour.
We enjoyed our walking tour of Amsterdam. Our guide was knowledgable about the city, it's history and architecture. The only downside was the begging for a tip at the end of the tour.
Done this tour before and the guide on this tour (American guy) not as informative and helpful as previous tour with an Irish Guide.
We booked this tour for our first day so we could find our way round Amsterday and find out things we should add to our itinerary but, given that all the people on the tour were English speaking, it was really bad that the guide was Spanish. She didn't seem to have a planned route and kept saying "where shall we go next? I know I'll take you ......" and we had to give her the English words for a lot of things she was trying to say. Also she gave us some information which, we found out later in the week, that was totally wrong.
