Always fun on Hop a Bus. Best way to see a new city. This one was just the right length.
Great tour, includes headphones in your own language. The Boat goes to another area of Amsterdam not covered so much in the walking or bike tour, so i would include this as well. Very romantic, good fun.
This was our first morning in Amsterdam and the lovely tour guide Esther did not disapoint. Her tour was entertaining and her knowledge amazing. Being a local, she was happy to recommend places to go and see. The 3 hours flew by and we wished it was longer, as her company was so much fun. Many of the things she told us has retained in our memory, so we could recognise places again and again with the history day after day! Please book this tour if visiting as it's a great way to see the city, understand it's history and have fun whilst doing so, but ask for Esther! Thank you for a great tour.
I bought this tour for my husband and me. We landed in the early hours of a Saturday morning in February and rushed straight to Dam square for the tour. From start to finish, the tour was fantastic. We were visiting out of peak time, so our group was very small (there were just 5 of us) and Terry really catered to our every need. Terry who is originally from Ireland has been living in Amsterdam for a number of years and knew a huge amount about the city and and its history. He was willing to answer all manner of questions about all the areas we walked through. The tour allowed us to see all important areas of the city and meant that during our short stay there we felt confident to explore the city on our own during our stay. Great value for money- I would definitely recommend this!!
The tour was good! could've been better with some additional exploration around the museums and explain history behind the same..overall grt..
It's a great introduction to the city. Tour guide was informative and there is a visit to the Diamond factory.
I think the tour was good and informational - we saw a good amount of the city but I think using central station as a point of reference rather than dam square I find more useful than where the tour started. While it makes sense and seeing dam square is important, I had a difficult time getting my bearings while I was there.
The tour by couch very interesting but cruise not too much fun. On the deck outside not guided at all. You can admire view but you do not know nothing about

Doing what: Amsterdam Super Saver 1: Keukenhof Gardens Day Trip and Amsterdam City Tour
As usual the bus was very punctual in departing and in returning. But the lack of organisation prior to departure was very disappointing. There were no signage or iinfo available, staff not very helpful.
If you take it that you are paying for a bus trip and no more, its ok.
We thought we could hop on and off when we wanted, thought the clue was in the name. Our 1st stop was at the diamond place, had a nice time there, when bus arrived we were told by the bus assistant that there was not room for us and we needed to wait for next one, which there was no guarantee we would get on, she was not at all sympathetic. so rude actually. It was a waste of money as we never got on and made our own way round on the good and reliable tram, not like your bus. Very disappointed and waste of time
Absolutely first rate. Guide Terrry was intelligent, witty and informative. I have no hesitation in recommending tour to any first time or returning visitor.

I really enjoyed the walking tour. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable about Amsterdam.
A fascinating insight into the city and its history and a great way of seeing all the key sights in one go, all brought to vivid life by the guide (an Irishman who's lived there for nearly a decade) who was not only extremely knowledgeable but very friendly as well.
