Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
An interesting narrative, intriguing visit to diamond cutting establishment, most acommodating guide and driver.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
My husband has difficulty walking, so the tour was a perfect way for us to "get around" Amsterdam. The tour guide was excellent and kept everyone informed in three languages. Quite impressed with the driver, moving the bus around the streets and traffic. Overall it was great!

Doing what: Amsterdam Super Saver 1: Keukenhof Gardens Day Trip and Amsterdam City Tour
We missed our city tour because of the traffic jam. However the tour operator issued us with a most rewarding river cruise as compensation without any fuss. Keukenhof is stupendous!

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
I was confused as we thought we purchased the city tour and canal boat tour but the coupon we received said just the city tour. They sold us a pass for the canal boat for 5Euro and that was great as the canal boats are usually 10-15 euros. The tour was wonderful except they do the tour in 4 languages so you don't get a lot of whats this and that because he has to say it over in 4 languages. The motor coach was wonderful, the guide was great, the driver was great, and the people at the tour office were great. It's just the multiple languages. It would have been better to not have anything said as opposed to the multi language.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
Nice open top bus, convenient headphones for narrative, friendly courteous guide and drivers. Good choice for 1st activity to get your bearings in the city.

Doing what: Highlights of Amsterdam Sightseeing Cruise
We went early in the tourist season so the boat wasn't crowded. The driver/guide
contributed a story or two of his own but the taped tour just didn't have enough information about the city, the history, the engineering, the canal boats. It was a decent way to get an overview, but we wanted more information.

The bus tour was not good. You do not see much on the bottom of a double decker bus. River cruise was great.

Doing what: Amsterdam Super Saver 1: Keukenhof Gardens Day Trip and Amsterdam City Tour
The name of this tour would indicate that it is a full day tour, it turns out to be two part day tours where you have to return back to the original starting place in Amsterdam to catch a second bus in the afternoon. This process costs you two hours of wasted time in the middle of day. Too many destinations on tour seemed to be shopping related instead of information and sightseeing. Tours taken in Rome were full day and mostly devoted in sights and information. This tour receives a three star rating only because of the Keukenhof Gardens. The bus (Bakker) for this part of the tour had little if any air conditioning, even the driver was complaining.

Doing what: Amsterdam Super Saver 1: Keukenhof Gardens Day Trip and Amsterdam City Tour
The Keukenhof Gardens were beautiful, but we were there too long. That may not have been a problem normally, but it was very cold. We looked for the bus driver and our guide to see if we could go back on an earlier trip, but could fine no one..we were on our own. Then when we went back to our bus, 10 minutes early of the appointed time, for our return trip, the bus was already full and we were waved off to a different bus which finally left 20 minutes later. I didn't think it was very well done. I have never been on a tour where no one was available for questions or where no heads were counted. The city tour was fine, but there was a 2 hour interval between the 2 tours which I considered a waste of time.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
The start of my River Cruise to Budapest was a little less than perfect. I must say I was disappointed. I think the problem was that the guide had to speak in 3 langusges and by the time she was finished, I did not know what building, etc. she meant. However, It did fill in a couple of hours for me before boarding the River Queen. Could tell you that the rest of my holiday was absolutely perfect in all respects.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
I was a bit disappointed with this tour. Someone at the travel agency where the tour was supposed to start directed me somewhere else, I ended up waiting for half an hour in the cold and missing my tour. I went back to the agency and was told the person I'd spoken to was new and she'd made a mistake. They told me I could do the tour the next day, but they were very rude, and I ended up wasting a day of my holiday. I would have expected Viator to be more careful about choosing the agencies they'll work with, as my previous experience with Viator was nothing like this. The tour was ok, the driver and the guide were very nice. However, you should be aware that most of the tour is spent in a diamond factory and on the way to a windmill. The rest is a quick drive-through of Amsterdam, you'll only be able to take a quick glance at things, but I guess that's what you get for the price. Also, you'll have to find where the canal cruise starts on your own, they'll just drop you off at the travel agency.

Doing what: Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
We prefer hop on hop off tours, and my wife thought this was one of those. The diamond factory tour was way overrated, and access was difficult because of the many stairs. The driver did OK. The guide's ability with languages was amazing, but having to give the tour in four languages reduced the amount of detail she could provide.
