Don't waste money! Museums like Rijkmuseum, Heineken and some others do not accept this card!

I purchased the I amsterdam card for my 2 day Amsterdam trip in April during Queens Day weekend. The card was so useful when it came to transportation on the trams in central Amsterdam. All we had to do was decide which tram took us to a particular museum and we just scan our cards on the tram and on our way. Trams could get very crowded so it was hard at times to scan yourseld off. But none the less we managed. It was a breeze getting into museums especially since so many were free with the card. I especially enjoyed the free canal cruise and its definitely a must to do while there. The card also allowed us to get into the Heineken Museum for a discounted rate which is a plus where that is a very popular attraction. Didn't really use the card to purchase food since most restaurants compete so their prices on food specials were a great deal. All in all it was definitely a great experience and thanks to the I amsterdam card it gave us the "key to the city".

Great card. Saved us money and encouraged us to visit museums we wouldn't have thought about.
The travel card is a useful bonus espcially for the trams.

Good deal and worth the price if you want to see all the museums.

Enjoyed using the pass to visit museums and the discount bonus at several shops. As mentioned in my other review I think all voucher redemption locations should be at one central location, thank you.

Although the pass was well worth the cost, I found that we did not use the "wooden shoe" coupons. It was also very difficult to find the "free" tour--every place we went into sent us somewhere else. It was, however, worthwhile just for the "skip the line" feature at the museums. I liked the fact that it was not a timed pass--we used a pass in Paris that had to be used in two days--did not like the timed feature. I would choose your pass again.

LOVED this tour! A great way to see the Canal's of Amsterdam, learn a lot of history about the city, and enjoy a relaxing boat ride. I also really enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum, and being able to skip the long line of people waiting to buy tickets. Highly recommend this tour!!

Well worth the money - especially for the "skip the line" feature. It should be more clearly stated that when you are selecting your 2 museum admissions that you cannot select both the Van Gogh and the Rijks museum.

The canal buses finished a little early in the day - 5.30 pm was usually last pick up so if I was doing it again I'd get a tram pass and just do the 1 hour canal tour as it was very informative. the museum was wonderful

Doing what: Skip the Line: Amsterdam and Holland Pass

It was a bit tricky, in the beginning you think you can access any of the attractions named (I bought the 2, I wanted to go to heineken museum and Van.) But I could not go to both, you can only use certain passes for certain attractions. However, it's okay to go, just read the conditions well.

We've used only one ticket for Hermitage Museum and nowhere where we've been accepted the others! We didn't carry the guide with us because it is too heavy and big to carry with you all the time, specialy travelling for leasure! The person in travel agency who give us the ticket and the guide was very rude and didn't want to explain how it works.

Everything worked perfectly, we collected the tickets, missed the main queues at the van Gogh museum and spent the rest of the day on and off the canal buses. Great day would use service again.

You MUST get a pass before going to Amsterdam - you'll avoid a very long line and get right into the museum. I highly recommend getting there when it opens (10am). The canal cruise is great and stops at all the major stops.

hop on off very easy to access and use. did not have to wait in long line at museum

Doing what: I amsterdam Card - City Pass for Amsterdam

Definitely worth getting the card, which saves the hustle of buying light rail tickets and museum entries. At the Van Gogh Museum, we were still asked to stand in queue for the entry, but the line moved fairly fast.
