Home to alpine wildflowers, moose calves, pristine streams, howling wolves and glacial-fed rivers, the Chugach State Park is a favorite reminder to all living in Anchorage that wilderness via front-country trails or backcountry bushwhacking is ready and waiting, should you choose to explore it.

Doing what: Chugach State Park Hiking Tour from Anchorage with Full-Day or Half-Day Option
Absolutely a beautiful place. The trail is muddy and our shoes were soaking wet but we did not care. It was worth it.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. After the whole day hike, my wife and I felt like he was a friend.
