This was an amazing tour, and I highly recommend doing the small group tours versus doing a larger tour group. There were only three of us and a guide on this tour, and I feel like I got a more personal experience than the tours I saw with 20+ people. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the temples and the history of the region.
Our local guide Sophy was fluent in English, knowlegeable of Cambodia's history, very pleasant, helpful and upbeat; catered to everybody in our group; will definitely recommend this tour to friends and family planning on visiting Cambodia soon.
I was wowed with the level of knowledge our private tour guide had. He was friendly and considerate, made sure we enjoyed ourselves and was informative without being boring. The day was extremely hot (40+ degrees) but he made sure we were hydrated all day and where possible he made things easier for us seeing as there is alot of walking involved with this. Really special experience being here amongst history.
Angkor Wat and the temples were awesome but the trip was much shorter than expected and finished at a good couple of hours earlier than stated by viator.
I was alone for the tour with my private guide and private driver. very good day with a very nice guide...
Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable and friendly and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Angkor Wat is spectacular and we would have spent longer there if it wasn't for the heat. Fortunately our driver had plenty of bottled water for us. The lunch was included and this was very good.
Our guide spoke fluent English, his knowledge of the site was amazing. We spent the morning wandering through Bantray, jungle, elephant temples then to Angkor Wat. Lunch was fantastic. He was obliging in answering all of our questions, with relation to politics, economy, the history of pol pot, the french and other. We chatted to him regardind Tonle sap lake and the floating vietnamese fishing village,. we ended up taking a trip out there. Viator has amazing products.
Again, our guide and driver were excellent and showed us everything. My legs are still recovering from climbing here and there. Great time.
The tour of the Angkor Wat and temples was breath taking and highly recommended. Our guide was excellent and so knowledgeable, we really enjoyed our day.
Enjoyed the day tour completely. Both driver and tour guide provided me with great insight of the attraction being seen.
Our tour guide (Mao) was brilliant-he was eager to answer any question and very knowledgeable. As an ex-monk he had a great understanding of the history of the temples, the religion and the culture. He had a great sense of humour as well. We have travelled aroud he world and visited a few ancient sites-Ankor Wat and the temples near by should be on your list of "must see" places in the world. We plan to return and see it all again in the future.
My favorite temple in the Angkor Wat complex - I loved all the serene faces! Definitely walk the perimeter to see the bas relief around the lower level, as well as admire the dozens of meditative stone faces. Sunrise is a lovely time to show up as crowds are thinner and the light is great for photos.
Excellent organization in general and tour operator provided Buffalo Tours did a great job. Guide walked to our own pace and was always willing to meet our needs and was able to explain to us in very good English, history of places visited.
