Gay Pride Festival in Buenos Aires

With its reputation as South America’s most gay-friendly city and a pioneer of gay rights in the Latino community, it’s no surprise that Buenos Aires’ annual Gay Pride Festival is the hottest ticket on the gay calendar. Not only was the city home to South America’s first official gay group back in 1969, but Argentina made history as the first country on the continent to recognize same-sex marriages, giving festival-goers plenty to celebrate.
Since its first parade back in 1991, Buenos Aires has hosted an annual Gay Pride festival on the first Saturday of November, marked by a flamboyant parade starting from the city’s central Plaza de Mayo.
