Verde Canyon Railroad

If you want a unique way to experience the beauty of Arizona's wilderness, look no further than the Verde Canyon Railroad. At a peaceful 12 miles per hour (19 kilometers per hour), you can ride this train as it winds its way along the beautiful Verde River. The four hour, 40-minute round trip takes you from Clarkdale to the ghost ranch of Perkinsville and back. The scenic route is nestled between two national forests, ensuring stunning natural views in either direction.

Along the way you'll cross bridges, pass through tunnels, and climb your way up and down desert cliffs. While you're whisked away, close your eyes and enjoy the cool desert air on your face. But don't leave them shut for too long- you might miss out on seeing a bald eagle, or some other rare form of wildlife! This breathtaking trip is a must for anyone who longs to see gorgeous natural sights.
