“Our new desert camp belonged to the Arizona desert as though it had stood there during creation.” – Frank Lloyd Wright on Taliesin West
For something historical and inspiring to do near Phoenix, Taliesin West is a good choice. The attraction was designed and built by architect, designer, educator and author Frank Lloyd Wright, and was his winter home, studio and campus from 1937 until he passed away in 1959. Today, it is considered a National Historic Landmark and is home to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and the main campus of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.
