Just brilliant! We were a little worried about making such a tour booking online, but from our meeting at the airport in Aswan, until our farewell in Luxor, we were treated very well and felt safe all the way. Food was top notch, the pool on the top deck bliss, and our rooms were better than we expected. There were only 14 guests on our boat, which actually holds 120, so we were very spoilt for space. Our guide Mustafa was a real gentleman, gave us all the history/stories/real life of Egypt. My biggest tip for future travellers would be to take US$50 in one dollar bills to use for tipping, since we found it very difficult to get small Egyptian Pound notes anywhere. Also take 50 + pens to give to children, since many were asking! Best day on the cruise was the 8 hour journey between temples, during the day, since we really got a great view of the Nile from the pool deck. Boat did not have any snack foods on board, so take your own, or buy on the street. Finally, we made specific room requests via Viator (2 x twin + 1 x double) and this was passed onto the boat operator. Very happy all around!

Travel really cool, amazing places. The ship is comfortable, the food is good and the service was great (guide, transfers, officials of the ship). Viator is always very efficient and has quality services.

This is a relaxing way to see the amazing temples and tombs. Our guide was very informative and allowed us to see things at our pace.

Absolutely fantastic trip! If you've thought about going to Egypt, go now! There are very few tourists and prices are great. I had many tombs and sites almost entirely to myself. My tour was excellent - especially my guide.
I only gave this four stars though because my original tour company was changed, which was no big problem except that the new boat had a different itinerary than the first and I was never notified. Originally my tour was supposed to end on Day 3, with just disembarkation on Day 4. The new tour ended at the end of Day 4. Luckily I had booked a late flight from Luxor but if it had been earlier I would have missed out on that day of touring because I wasn't notified of the change. I also wasn't notified of some optional trips, like a trip to Abu Simbel, offered by the new boat/company. I was able to arrange it, however. I'm sure this is a functioning of the collapsing tourism industry as they're consolidating bookings on different ships for efficiency, but customers definitely should be notified of schedule changes.
My other other very minor issue was with the food, which was more Indian than Middle Eastern. It wasn't terrible, but if I'm in the Middle East I want to eat Middle Eastern food. It's part of the experience.
Otherwise, the trip was absolutely wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better guide.

Highly recommended. Great experience.
The Cruise was good and the room was very comfortable . Excellent tours and our guide was very kind, friendly and informative.

Unfortunately, the cruise did not live up to our expectations.

The food selection was limited, particularly at breakfast with no fruit being offered. The menu was generaly high in calories and fat and few healthy options were available.

Another disspointment with the food service is that between meals, there was no food available anywhere on the ship. As we toured extensively, it would have been nice to be able to purchase snacks to satisfy our hunger after sightseeing.

The rooms were old and the carpets filthy.

The TV reception was poor and the channel selection was extremely limited.

Smokers were everywhere including the staff which made it unpleasant to be indoors for any length of time.

The only free activity for our kids was the ping pong table. However the table was old and the paddles were falling apart.

The positive point was our tour guide and tour representatives. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and attentive to our needs.

We would not recommend this cruise operator/ ship to anyone.

My son and I highly recommend a Nile Cruise. It's the best way to see many of the sights in a relaxing way. Traveling can be a hassle in Egypt and this tour avoided many of those. Plenty of time to relax on the boat, to swim, etc. The boat of the local contact was only about 1/4 occupied and our tour only had 4 people so we got a lot of personal attention. Food was great and we ate too much. September, though hot, is a great time to visit Egypt, i.e. many fewer people. At some places we were the only visitors. The guide was very informative, but not overbearing. We highly recommend this trip. The only thing that was a little different than expected is that it is really only 2 days of actually cruising the Nile. Two of the 4 nights are spent in port (Luxor and Aswan), but it includes tours to sights in both of those places. A 3 day cruise would spend just as much time on the river but you would have to visit key Luxor and Aswan sights on your own. There were several extras that we hadn't expected, e.g. a carriage ride in Edfu and a Felluca ride in Aswan, all covered in the package. We were very satisfied.

Cruise and facilities are very good- very good customer service and excellent food. Our guide did not really know what tours we were doing or what was happening- as if it were planned a day at a time which was annoying sometimes. Also it would be useful if a copy of itinerary or the full tour inclusions of the package were sent as a print out along with the voucher. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to others.

The crusie itself was amazing. The daily sight seeing involves a lot of walking, though most of the transportantion is air conditioned vehicles, you do travel using horse and carriage. The food and service onboard the ship is amazing, and the evening entertainment is fantastic. The only minus point is that the ship don't provide any complementry drinks. You are also expected to tip at the end of the cruise roughly 25 LE pp each day the same goes with your tour guide. Overall it is a lovely experience for both old and young.

Aiman (guide) is the best. Great experience. The cruise staff was fantastic, very good food and nice and clean room.

Wonderful. The guide was very kind. The ship personnel very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable. The visits to the monuments were wonderful. The Nile Cruise is a must go experience!

Just returned to Seattle and the Nile Cruise was my highlight. Mirage is a very nice boat (and there are plenty that are not nice). Can't beat the value, people and service were great!
Thank you!

the cruise boat is more of a 3 star than five, but the excursions are excellent with knowledgable and freindly personal tour guide (request Elijah - by far the best) I would recommend flying into Luxor and straight on to the cruise boat for 7 nights then fly home as the towns in egypt are dirty ,dusty full of flies and non-stop hassle. Take all the additional excursions on the cruise especially ABU SIMBEL. nothing to do in the towns in the evening and food is generally poor although 4 and 5 star hotels are of a good standard.

I thought this cruise was pretty well valued and note that some other tour companies were charging more for the same cruise. We travelled during the Xmas period, and were pleasantly surprised when we checked into our room. Clean, spacious, and pretty comfortable, with room serviced daily.

All meals provided were buffet style, and plentiful. Drinks are not included and purchased separately. Sometimes entertainment is provided in the evening (Xmas party, belly dancing), but it wasn't the most exciting so to speak.

I didn't realize until we boarded that you get your own private tour guide (for each separate booking), which is nice, because that gives you some flexibility with some toured sites/times. We were assigned a lovely and knowledgable guide, whom we engaged for an extra day our after disembarkation. The 4 day cruise covers most of the sites between aswan and luxor, though you disembark first thing on the morning on day 4, so technically it 's more a 3 day, 3 night tour.

All in all, good package, well priced. We were pretty happy with the booking. Recommended.

Overall this was a very good package. The boat was clean and our room was quite spacious. The food was also very good, though the staff in the dining room often seemed eager to clear our plates and move us along. They did not always create a relaxing environment.

By far the best part of the package was our private guide, Sayeed. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable of the temples and tombs we visited, he was just a great person, full of interesting conversation. He took us for an informal and unscheduled tour of Aswan (his hometown) and told us all about the lives of people in southern Egypt.

When our cruise ended we had a whole day in Luxor before flying out that night. The boat let us use the the roof deck during the day and then provided us with transport to the airport which was a welcome surprise.

The entertainment at night was cheesy and not worth attending. The staff at the front desk was not always very helpful, either. Still, this was a very enjoyable cruise and we would recommend it.
