Only a short Felucca ride then on to a beautifull botanic garden. A very pleasant relaxing spot away from the hasslers. Short lived however as then you are on a motor boat, it is not quite the same. dissappointed i am afraid
An unforgettable slice of Egyptian village life from another time. Excellent guide and beautiful villagers. My idea of perfect peace.
We had high hopes for this tour, but ended with a disappointing trip. The feluccas weren't sailing, because of the lack of wind, and our tour of the sights was limited. We did not see much of the ancient village, and the Aswan Museum on the island is not worth visiting. We had a "row" from the dock to the island and a "float" back to the shore...nothing to write home about. Being on the Nile was fun, but this could have been a much better trip.
I really enjoyed this tour, it was great to be in a felucca on the Nile with nothing but the sound of the wind. The Nile really is most beautiful here and worth spending time sailing around to see the desert and city from the water. The gardens are really pretty and its a nice break away from the big number of people everywhere else in Upper Egypt.
Nice and relaxing, an oasis within a busy city. A good variety of plants and a great setting and our guide was really friendly. The felucca ride was the highlight though with the contrasting landscape in the background.
