Unfortunately we booked the tour during the Greek Orthodox Easter. We weren't advised of this before we booked. So the tour was 2 hours later, because the museum wouldn't be open until 12, which meant that we were walking up the Acropolis in the mid day sun and the tour finished at 3 which was very late for lunch.

The bus is a fantastic way to get to know the city. On the first day we were able to choose areas we wanted to explore more thoroughly. The second day , as it was raining, we used it as transport to the museum's and to the port. Money well spent.

You can't go to Athens and not get a tour of the Acropolis. Sure you can do it on your own but its so much better to have a knowledgeable and friendly person taking you through the Acropolis and its awesome museum and really explaining things in detail. Our guide was super friendly and excited to answer our questions and dig deeper into Ancient Greece and all of her wonders and history. She took us to the Panathenaic Stadium first and a short tour around the inner section of Athens, then we went up to the Acropolis and spent plenty of time there to get a good history of the site and take plenty of photos with the amazing views on top of the rock. We ended the tour in the Acropolis Museum which was spectacular and much better having someone explain what we were looking at in great deal. I couldn't recommend this tour more highly for people visiting Athens.

The Parthenon was a little disappointing because visitors are unable to get very close as a result of the ongoing restoration works (not a fault of the tour company) but the museum more than made up for that it was spectacular and the guide was extremely good and gave full details about the items on display. It would have been better if visitors had been able to visit the temple of Zeus and the other site near the Parthenon rather than just to pass the former from the coach and walk past the latter.

This tour was absolutely amazing! When we arrived at Syntagma Square the 1st stop was easy to find. They also upgraded our ticket to a 48 hour tour of Athens and Piraeus, so we did each tour on different days. My character limit won't allow me to say much more but in a nutshell, I definitely recommend
