Doing what: Athens Super Saver: City Sightseeing Tour plus Half-Day Cape Sounion Trip
Guide Katarina was great. Thanks to guides like her make it possible to see the essence of a place like Athens in just half a day, while providing you with enough inspiration to explore further. The half-day tour of Athens was great. In contrast however, the Cape Sounion trip was not worth the time going there in my view.

Doing what: Athens Half-Day Sightseeing Tour
We really enjoyed our tour overall, but there were a couple of hiccups along the way. We were supposed to be picked up at 7:30 and I had to call at 7:45 to ask where they were. We then had to try to locate the bus up the street from where we were. At the acropolis the guide didn't have the tickets yet and so we had to wait while she got in line to purchase them. It was raining and so we all got soaked while waiting for her. She didn't have a sign that said she was our guide and so she "lost" 2 people in the crowd and actually gave one ticket to many to one tour guest by accident so there was that to deal with...all while it's pouring down rain and crowds of people. That being said we still enjoyed ourselves. She was very knowledgable about greek history and mythology. Her accent was hard to understand at times, but it was okay. When all was said an done we enjoyed the tour, but wish it had been a bit more organized.

I wanted to give this half a star. It is a sheer waste of time in the sunny afternoon. This tour roams around in a RADIUS of 4 to 5 km and charge you a bomb. The museum is boring and worth a definite miss.

Most of the hop-on hop-off tours I have been on have been great but this bus would stay at a stop for 15 - 30 minutes even though no one was getting on or off. We felt like we wasted a good part of our day sitting on the side of the street and breething in bus exhaust.

We enjoyed this tour very much. The guide was informative and told the history of Athens and the sights we were seeing in a concise and entertaining manner. The Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum were amazing and well worth seeing.
