Athens is a fantastic city and we stayed at the Tropicano Hotel which is suitable for couples and singles. If you want a hotel thats close to the beach and a 15 min tram ride from the city then this is it. The staff were pleasant, rooms were clean, serves excellent breakfast and basic afternoon meals if you dont want to venture out. It is beside a busy road but we never found it to be a problem.
