Bird-watching and strolling at Piedmont Park
With 211 acres to explore, Piedmont Park is located in the center of the city and is Atlanta’s largest green space. The park offers many amenities and activities to visitors, including free walking tours every Saturday at 11am from May through December to learn about the park’s history and wildlife. Tours are available year-round with an advance registration by calling 404.875.7275 or emailing programs@piedmontpark.org. Bird-watchers enjoy strolling the park in search of grebes, herons, cuckoos and flycatchers, while those who want to get fit can make use of their exercise classes, bocce courts and cycling paths.
