Great tour worth doing.
The tour was well organized with friendly staff
Very through as the bus then the cruise. The sky tower was awesome.
Would highly recommend. The bus driver very informative and good.
Very convenient way to visit Auckland. My friend and I did both routes and got off the bus at leisure. Auckland was amazing. And buses were prompt and the stop service and drivers were great.
We took this tour because we were visiting Auckland for 1 day on a cruise and had limited time. John, our tour guide took us to wineries that matched our taste in wines. On the way we stopped to see a gannet colony which was a fascinating insight into these birds. This was a great tour and we highly recommend it.
Well run operation.
Wish I had stayed another day and gotten a two day pass.
This was an excellent tour and Dawn was an excellent driver/commentator. I would highly recommend this to other travelers.
A really interesting tour. The guide was excellent and had a lot of knowledge of the history of Auckland. The time went very fast. Excellent Value
Excellent tour and excellent guide/bus driver. However, the tour was listed as a shore excursion, but the starting point was not clear to us. The paperwork said to meet at the Hilton Hotel, which we did, but that is not where the tour was. We finally found it, but it was a bit stressful.
We had the best time, the City Sightseeing Tour was great, the Harbour Ruise was fantastic the weather was lovely and hot, and the Sky Tower was something else. One great day.
The driver/guide for the Auckland City Tour was the best we had out of the eight days of Land Excursions we took while cruising around New Zealand. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. I wish the cuise lines hired Viator and your guides for all of their Land Excursions!!
With only 1 day in Auckland this tour gave us a fantastic overview of the city, seeing highlights such as Devonport and Mt Victoria lookout stress-free. Our guide David, shared his local knowledge well. Pick up and drop off at our cruise ship made it vey convenient. We still had time to explore city around ship.
bus was good seen a lot of auckland and surrounds did blue and red circle on bus
Excellent way to get an overview of NZ. Good commentary.
Eco zip was fantastic! There wasn't a representative on the Auckland side of the ferry, viator needs to include a reference number for the ferry company, but we did make it over with a very enthusiastic Eco zip guide to start our tour. Started out terrified and they put me at ease. We loved it
Great tour with good commentary Auckland to me lacked the Wow Factor
Enjoyed the day but the boats and schedules were not well explained. On some stops the return boats are few and very far between shortening what can be done. The biggest problem is that the boats going to different stops are not the same necessitating a return all the way back to the beginning to go to the next place. This needs to be better explained with selling this venue.
Written instructions said be at Hilton Hotel but the MPV was somewhere else. Hilton hotel assisted and tracked down Viators supplier who was Canterbury Leisure and they are then subcontracted to Auckland Wineries Tours. Eventually they found us. The tour felt 'rushed' but was never the less very pleasant and enjoyable
This is a tour that I would have have highly recommend except for the few details that I will mention later. The city tour had a lot to offer and see. Our driver was one of the nicest guys you could meet. He was very friendly and knowledgable. Some of the stops were a bit rushed, but that is to be expecting on a tour such as this that has so much to see. It seem as if every turn down every street would bring you to the end, and then there was more to see and hear about.
The trip to the Sky Tower was very nice, offering the chance to see everything from high above the ground. My husband and I have done this sort of high-rise sightseeing in many world cities, so to some who have done the same, this may seem like looking down on yet another big city, but for those who don't get the chance to travel as often, it is amazing to see the massive city.
The habor cruise was okay but not great. The speaker system was very difficult to hear unless you are seated inside of the boat, and who wants to do that when you are planning to take pictures and feel the breeze on your face. The stops that we made were very rushed - 10 minutes at best to make your way to shore and get back onto the boat. Because of this is the lower rating then highly recommended.
Great tour/s of the city but the day we were there it was very busy and we couldn't always get on a bus at the stop we were at.
A great idea.
We enjoyed this tour. It gave us an opportunity to see Auckland at a reasonable price.
Great fun, well worth the price, just a shame the approximate 1 hour advertised was less than 40 minutes from start to finish.
This tour was interesting in as much as we saw a lot of interesting landmarks
