Doing what: Waitomo Caves and Rotorua Day Trip from Auckland
a long drive. however the coach is very comfy so no problem at all. the driver is very good, non-stop commentary except on return journey when most people have gone to sleep.
the waitomo caves is spectacular, been to the glow worm cave in australlia good coast. the waitomo caves have a lot more glow worms, and the boat ride is awesome.
The farm is ok but is more of a show piece, not the authentic farm we expect. but ok, another experience.
the maori village is fun too. the hot spring jet is ok too.
the whole trip is very nicely organised.
The Rotorua area is worth for a longer stay with the hotels with spas, the cable car and luge ride down. next time will spend more time in that area.
will recommend for those who do not drive around NZ

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
Lovely part of the world and well worth going to see. Wonderful views. Only a minor point but mini Russell tour is too short not really allowing enough time to stop and take in the wonderful views available

Doing what: Waitomo Caves and Rotorua Day Trip from Auckland
This tour is great value for money! You visit Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, a maori museum (including dance performance), kiwi-bird sanctuary and a sheep farm (including shearing demo) all in 1 day. Food/drinks provided were delicious (covered me for breakfast/lunch/dinner). Driver had excellent commentary/driving skills.

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
tour was good, bus driver was very arragant, we missed a segment of the tour once we got to the bay of Islands because of miss understanding (Waitangi Treaty House Tour) which he said was worth $35 if anyone booked it, would have liked to have a more friendlier guide

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
Too much time on bus...3 hours each way....didn't see the islands. Pick up and return to/from hotel was not direct. Lunch was ridiculous ! Never again !!

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
The tour is good but everything is too rushed. Would have liked to see a lot more and spent most of the time being driven to and from the three sites.

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
We enjoyed an excellent trip to the Bay of Islands - wish we could have spent longer there. The arrangements worked extremely well although we would have liked more tome at the Treaty Grounds - the difficulty in coordinating different tours on the same trip meant that some of our party had to get back to the wharf to start another activity.
The driver was excellent and provided a really good commentary on the journey. All in all we had a great time - the only drawback was the boneshaker of a coach.

Doing what: Waitomo Caves and Rotorua Day Trip from Auckland
This was an excellent tour. The day was very long, but we covered a lot of ground all of the stops were well done.
In particular, the Glow Worm caves were exceptional. At one point there were about 20 tourists in a boat in the dark cave and all of us were completely spellbound looking at the glow worms which resembled a night sky which was fully of constellations of stars.

A lot of time on the bus but this tour covered all the highlights of the New Zealand North island except wine tasting. Each of the stops was excellent. Highly recommend this bargain.

Doing what: Bay of Islands Day Tour from Auckland
This was a very long day but worth the effort. The driver was courteous, helpful and informative. He was also sensitive to passengers needs by ensuring regular "call of nature" stops. I enjoyed every moment from the pick up to drop off. The Waitangi Treaty grounds tour was made particularly interesting by the young female guide. The only negative to the day was the fatty beef included in the lunch salad.
