The tour was amazing andI would highly recommend it.
The only negative spot goes to the Viator Customer Service Support department: to confirm my pick-up time at the hotel I had to call several times (from Australia) and wait about 1 hour to speak with an operator...not to mention the cost of these calls! of course I tried to get an answer to this by email first, but I was kindly told to call and waste time and money. I'd suggest to provide the pick-up time by email as the majority of tour operators usually do.

Bay of Islands tour is a long day – would recommend doing the 2 day tour so that you have time to enjoy northern New Zealand . We did hit some good lookouts! The trip to the Māori Reserve was unnecessary and LONG. Would have preferred to have more time out on a boat in the bay of islands. Don’t get the lunch – there are plenty of places and a time to eat on your own at one of the local restaurants.

The drive up to the Bay of Islands is about 3 hours however 2 stops are suitable. The actual Bay of Islands is very beautiful and the tour of the Treaty grounds and the mini bus tour of Russell were excellent.

a long drive. however the coach is very comfy so no problem at all. the driver is very good, non-stop commentary except on return journey when most people have gone to sleep.
the waitomo caves is spectacular, been to the glow worm cave in australlia good coast. the waitomo caves have a lot more glow worms, and the boat ride is awesome.
The farm is ok but is more of a show piece, not the authentic farm we expect. but ok, another experience.
the maori village is fun too. the hot spring jet is ok too.
the whole trip is very nicely organised.
The Rotorua area is worth for a longer stay with the hotels with spas, the cable car and luge ride down. next time will spend more time in that area.
will recommend for those who do not drive around NZ

Lovely part of the world and well worth going to see. Wonderful views. Only a minor point but mini Russell tour is too short not really allowing enough time to stop and take in the wonderful views available

This tour is great value for money! You visit Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, a maori museum (including dance performance), kiwi-bird sanctuary and a sheep farm (including shearing demo) all in 1 day. Food/drinks provided were delicious (covered me for breakfast/lunch/dinner). Driver had excellent commentary/driving skills.

tour was good, bus driver was very arragant, we missed a segment of the tour once we got to the bay of Islands because of miss understanding (Waitangi Treaty House Tour) which he said was worth $35 if anyone booked it, would have liked to have a more friendlier guide

Too much time on bus...3 hours each way....didn't see the islands. Pick up and return to/from hotel was not direct. Lunch was ridiculous ! Never again !!

The tour is good but everything is too rushed. Would have liked to see a lot more and spent most of the time being driven to and from the three sites.
