Ask an Auckland old timer about Karangahape Road and they’ll tell you it’s the city’s red light district. Sure, there are still some adult rated shops and some seedy characters that linger around “K-Road”, but the unscrupulous business activity has gradually been replaced by a more traditional and family-friendly style of commerce:
Shopping.
