I had a great time. The guys were fun and very informative about the wildlife in the bush.
This was a great experience. Only negative was our volunteer lead who walked way too fast.
This was a terrific trip! Great birding, great scenery, great guiding, great companionship. I am only sorry that I am 6000 miles away!
Excellant guide great hike and lots of birds and vegetation to see.
Fantastic day, enjoyed by all on the tour! Lots of laughs and happy memories.
The ferry ride is very scenic in itself. The guides that lead the groups on the walks, are very knowledgable and seem genuinely interested in the bird and plant life. We did not see quite as many birds as. Had hoped since it is mating season and they were sitting on their nests. But we still had a nice day.
A magical day. I'm not a birder, but from other reviews decided to go anyhow. It's so much more than birds. It left me with a renewed spirit of conservation and the important of protection of our planet.
This was absolutely amazing and the guides were great. With the city tour then the rainforest and beach in the afternoon, was so worth it, We seen so much and was definitely not disappointed with having such a short amount of time in New Zealand. This trip was worth it.
Great one day tour to get an overall picture of Auckland.
Tour guides were very informative and friendly.
I was extremely fortunate with the weather and the views were spectacular.
the tour was very pleasant
Didt think I had to pay for ferry 38.00 extra
Zip lining was too small to be exciting runs too short
Everyone connected to Zip Ling crew were excellent though
The trip itself was 5 stars. Viator provided the wrong time to be at the pier for the ferry across the bay to Waiheke. Fortunately, we ran into the ziplining group and they made the accommodations for us they get 5 stars also, because of Viator's mess up, we had to take a cab to the Zipline compound which cost us 50 US. We were also able to catch up to our wine group.
It was amazing! Jeremy picked us up from the ferry terminal and he was so lovely. The staff at zip-line were very through in making sure we were all safe. Overall, had an awesome time flying over the forest and the walk through the bushland is just magical. Our guide was so funny and very knowledgeable. I just recommend wearing gum boots or shoes that you won't mind getting dirty because they will get really dirty! The island itself is just so beautiful with breathtaking views all over. Do not forget your camera!
Very good tour for nature lovers. A guided tour on Tiritiri is highly recommended. It provides a lot of information and helps to put things into the proper context.
Fantastic tour!! I missed out on the Ziplining unfortunately but the wine part was awesome! Went to 4 different producers wine, beer, olive oil and were able to stay on at the last winery as the tour ended, but the ferry goes every half hour. Most delicious wines and beers and food - and the scenery on Waiheke is just stunning! Also, our guide was really awesome - she has an excellent knowledge of the Island and its history and was really informative and fun. Definitely recommend - I reckon I'd go on this tour again!!
Really great day. Ticket collection was easy - ferry very modern and handled the swell in difficult conditions. Island is just beautiful reminds me of North Shore Maui in Hawaii. The zip lining was safety conscious and loads of fun. Great driver on our island tour very funny. 3 beautiful wineries particularly Mudbrick - great wine amazing views and olive grove and products. Amazing scenery and great town - fantastic way to spend a day in Auckland.
This was the most memorable thing I did in New Zealand. I highly recommend this trip to Tiritiri Mantangi..
Early start, had the zip lines to ourselves, beautiful island and great wines. Very few free wine tastings, pay if you want to taste a variety of wines.
Wonderful wineries, the airline crew was AWESOME! The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars was the wine tour guide/driver was so rushed and rushed us out the door the last two wineries. So we actually stayed at the last winery because we weren't ready to leave and still shopping, he didn't want to wait. So we caught a can to the ferry terminal later. But overall a great day!
Both drivers were great, really enjoyed their company! The weather was really foggy so don't recommend the morning part of this tour on a cloudy day because we pretty much saw nothing!! Not the tour operators fault of couse, and they were great. Just a warning to other travellers.
This is one of the best things I have ever done. We took the ferry to Waiheke Island and this itself was well worth it. As promised Jake was at the terminal waiting for us. We were very lucky there was only four in our group for the day. We had a beautiful scenic drive including a photo stop to ziplines. Jake and Sarah were so competent and safety conscious we all felt very safe and comfortable attempting our first zipline. It is such good fund and very exhilarating. A little tip - very hard to concentrate on taking a video and hanging on at the same time for first timers. They do offer hire of a camera pro that fits on your helmet to film for around A39. We had a good idea of giving our camera to the other couple so they could film us and we have theirs to film them. Unfortunately we didn't think of this until after the third and final zipline. Really, really good day and we go Jake to drop us back in the little town where we found some lovely little bars and restaurants. Cannot rave enough about Jake and Sarah they were excellent guides. After the zipline you get a magnificent walk back to base through the rainforest of about 20 minutes. This alone was well worth going there. Well done Waiheke Island and Zipline!!!
Zip Lining was amazing. The wine, beer and olive oil tasting was also a fun experience. We bought some NZ olive oil because it was so delicious. Would have liked some more sweeter wine options.
I would highly recommend this trip.
Lovely laid back walk.
I learnt so much! Our guide was friendly, knowledgable and best of all passionate about the work being done on the island.
The zip line trip was awesome! ! Be prepared to hike back after the last zip but not hard and guides were great! Don't forget your go pro!
A rainy day- more rain than ever seen before, but we did manage to stop to see Piha beach and walk very briefly in the rain forest.
All I can say is that it was excellent and we're looking forward to the next one on the list - won't be long.
