Nestled in a small corner of Austin, just across from the eastern corner of the Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park, lies the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Named after the famous First Lady who spent much of her life expounding the benefits of environmentalism, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center serves to remind its visitors that native plants “give us a sense of where we are in this great land of ours.”

With educational exhibits, a visitor’s gallery and numerous hiking trails, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a peaceful place to absorb the natural beauty of Austin in a photographic, pastel landscape. A gentle, serene place with a purpose, a trip to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center promotes the greater understanding of the role native wildflowers play in the greater Austin landscape, while providing a place to enjoy the rustic Texas beauty in the heart of Austin.
