A nonprofit established in 1984, the Mexic-Arte Museum focuses its exhibits to display multimedia artistic works from those not only in Texas, but from all of the greater Southwest United States and beyond, into Latin America. Believing that art is cultivated, not just observed, the Mexic-Arte Museum is very active in the community and supports ongoing efforts to foster young artists with educational programs like Screen It!, a screen printing outreach program. Visitors are encouraged to to see these young artists work alongside the great creations of their artistic contemporaries and ancestors.
