How to Get Around Austin, Texas
For those wanting to efficiently explore Austin, the city features many ways to get around. To do as the locals do, rent a bike from Mellow Johnny’s and see the city as you cycle. Austin, a very health and fitness-focused community, is home to five different greenbelts offering mountain biking experiences, as well as 166 miles of bike lanes and over 4,500 city-installed bike racks. This is a great way to get to know the destination while also staying in shape, as is walking. As long as it’s not too hot out this is also an option, as many of the city’s attractions are within a mile or two of the downtown hotels.

In terms of public transportation, Austin is serviced by the Capital Metro transit system, which features the CapitalBus and the CapitalRail.
