Owing to their proximity to Salzburg, the iconic peaks of Gaisberg and Untersberg are some of the most accessible in the alps. Located just a short bus ride from the city center, the so-called “house mountains” are a regular feature of life for Austrians, and a tourist destination of particular fascination for visitors to the region.
