We were not able to visit Arles this day,but the guide took us to a olive farm which we loved. Just received my olive oil in the mail. All the sites we visited were great to see.We visited Arles on our own, two days later.Viator trips are all an excellent value.
On the day I added the Pont Du Gard site as well. Its a must to visit, beautiful roman remains. Enjoyed the les baux village and pont du gard trip very much. Les baux is absolutely beautiful. Orange is one of the town we visited. Arles is full of roman history and Van Gogh paintings. Chateau de pape is wine tasting and big area of wine yard. Very good interesting places - for solo travelers worth to join this tour esp for the Les Baux and Pont Du Gard site as its is not easy to access via public transport.
really awing, again too rushed for our older bodies to make the trip part of it being uphill. We would finally catch up with the group when the guide was finished with the talk and we heard it not , not seeing what we wished worrying about catching up and wathcing where we were steppping on the cobblestones.
The tour was great and I would highly recommend it. Adelina, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable about al the sights and translated to English as well as Portugese for the others in the group. It was a delightful day.
I had expectations based on a Viator tour in Egypt where the tour guides stayed with us and gave commentary at the sites. In this tour, the guide primarily dropped us off at the sites. Pickup was on time. We appreciated the driving. I would have liked more time at Les Baux. We spent 9 euro each for a very short time in the historical site. There was not a tour that had Orange and not a winery tour, so we had to pick this one, even though we were not interested in the winery tour. We were dropped at a village to walk around. This is not the tour's fault - we knew this going in - but would have liked a better choice.
Emily is a good tour guide.Overall it is good but I don like the arrangement. We have to spent some time back to avignon to pick up and drop off people in the afternoon and the schedule of morning is too rush.
The tour guide was lovely and very professional. I had lots of free time in the various towns to explore on my own. The tour was great with lots to enjoy. I found Les Baux de Provence too touristy.
An excellent all-day tour with a very knowledgeable and courteous driver/guide. Being in a small group of six was good. In the minibus, however, the guide's voice was inaudible at times, hence the 4-star rating. The tour included some of the best remnants of ancient Roman civilization in the area as well as other interesting historical aspects and places in this lovely part of France. Highly recommended.
The guide's English was very hard to understand due to her strong french accent. And it didn't seem as if she understood some of the questions that were asked. She also made poor use of the microphone.
I was very happy with my tour and guide Vivienne. She was very knowledgeable. I immensely enjoyed Arles, Orange, Les Baux de Provence and Chateauneuf du Pape. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone especially a women travelling alone.
The day with Marc in Provence was one of the highlights of our time in France. He was a wonderful guide. I would highly recommend this trip to friends and family.
Our guide was excellent! The trip was well worthwhile. In the future if possible please add a bit more time in St. Remy de Provence. Otherwise, it was great!
