Another very very good experience at Provence, tailored especially for anyone who is interested in lavander, its products, cultivation etc. All the stops that were made in several lavaner fields and the museum where good organized and the time was adequate. Maybe we could have an additional 10 minutes time at Senanque Abbey, but this does not take away the general feeling which was very positive.

My wife and i enjoyed this trip very much. The tour guide Elizabeth was wonderful and we got to see some very interesting and awesome Roman sites. Unfortunately due to roadworks detours and heavy traffic the Pont du Gard site was a bit rushed but our guide extended the trip duration into the evening which was appreciated by all.

Doing what: Orange and Chateauneuf du Pape Small Group Day Trip

My wife and I enjoyed this trip very much. Our tour guide was wonderful (our 2nd trip with her) and knowledgable. We think that such short or full day trips are the best way to see many local sites in an efficient, comfortable and relaxed way.

Fantastic tour. The lavender flowers in some fields were not in full bloom when we did the tour (end of June 2012) so the colours were not so vibrant. However, our guide (Ann) took us to other fields where the flowers were blooming more. The lavender museum and the lavender distillery farm were also interesting to visit. A different tour from the rest, however, very special and enjoyable.

Doing what: Provence Le Grand Tour

Another fantastic tour. Pretty long and tiring (especially for the tour guide, I would say!) as it stretched approximately 10.5 hours. It was very comprehensive and it gave us a chance to see the important parts of the region. The coliseum and aqueduct were awesome. The villages of Gordes, Rosillon and Les Baux were quaint and unique in their own way (I may have seen them during the Lavender tour. I forget). The only negative is that it was very hot so we had to seek the shade whenever we stopped at a site. All in all, an excellent way to get acquainted with Provence. Our guide, Selene, was accommodating with our request to stop by a lavender field and a sunflower field for some photos. It was difficult though to hear her speak on the microphone, so I missed quite a bit of explanation along the way. This continued even when I pointed out the deficiency to the guide.

Very nice tour. Our guide stopped at Glanum, which we thought was the highlight of the tour. They should make Glanum a headline item in the tour and allow more time there. Glanum is an ancient Roman city built on ruins of settlements from two earlier civilizations.

Our tour guide, Anais (sp?) was friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed the tour, even though the lavender was not fully in bloom because of the cooler temperatures that Provence had experienced this year. We learned a lot and enjoyed the day. Rousillon and Gordes were just lovely, as well.

Generally speaking it was a very pleasant experience. Our guide Francois is very nice, patient and caring. For the morning tour, we got to stop at photo spots like Roussillon, Gordes (no time to go deeper into towns) and a few lavender fields along the way. The lavender fields are not as good as those you see from the postcards or maybe those are too far for a half-day trip. I wish we could stop at Provence Abbey of Senanque lavender field near Gordes but we did not. Since these places are at least 1-2 hours drive from Avignon, everything seems a bit rushed, especially our final stop at the Lavender Museum Shop.

Lovely tour! Have seen lots of Lavender fields as we expected!

Beautiful lavender fields! It would have been nice to have more time at the Abbeye de Senanque and the towns (Gordes and Sault). Perhaps skipping one of the fields so we can have more time for the other sites would be better.

The tour guide was great (forgot her name). Loved the small group of 8 and the pick up at the hotel. Great sites to see - only complaint is that we did not get enough time at each spot. The tour is set up as a morning and afternoon tour. You can buy one or the other or both times. We did the whole day so we came back to Avignon to drop off the morning only people and get the afternoon only people. An afternoon couple was late and we waited half hour for them. The guide did extend the trip which was nice. Seem silly to double back to town but all in all a great day!!! Loved the Roman ruins - some of the best in Europe!!!

Guide was very prompt and courteous, speaking both French and English. Some more information on history and significance of sites would have been helpful. Enabled us to see sites efficiently that we would not have without a car.
