Wine tasting tour, Provence - Sunday afternoon in the little village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in Provence.
Vine production in Provence with vineyards in the background, stored 3 months in oak barrels and 3 months in glass bottles in the sun
The grounds of Ogier wine in Chateaunef-du-Papes
Just standing from afar, the ancient structure incites an imposing aura that makes one humble and wary of stepping on the ancient stones itself for fear of giving disrespect to the marvelous workers and engineers for producing such wonder.
I envy the students who have boundless energy walking up and down the gravel path like it was nothing. But seeing the fantastic sky and the magical setting, we were persuaded to go to the top just so.
The cobblestone streets and small shops make shopping an adventure.
The soil under the rocks is where the roots grow.
The land where the vines grow (terroir) is very different from that found in the US/California and even in Dijon. You have to see this place if you are interested in wine making!
