A great evening! The staff were great, the food, wine, dessert were great, and the shows were great, and most importantly, the view of Uluru was fantastic! It really topped the trip!

The view of Ayers Rock from this vantage point was fantastic! The champagne and canapes were fabulous as we watched the sun go down on the rock. Short, easy walk to white tableclothed tables set beautifully and chatting with people in a relaxed atmosphere made the dinner experience very enjoyable. The buffet had wonderful varied courses of great food. Then the stars came out and were well pointed out and described. We will go again on our next visit to Ayers Rock, for sure. Wouldn't miss it.

It was a beautiful experience! I have waited 20 years to see The Rock and to enjoy the banquet while listening to the Sounds of Silence in our wonderful red desert, it was something I will always remember! Thank you for a grand experience.

The dinner was fine. The flies in January were almost unbearable. If you go be sure to take along a headnet. After sunset the flies will go away but you will definitely have to learn how to drink champagne from under the headnet until they disappear at dark.

The star talk was great and the setting is hard to beat, but the whole dinner felt very rushed. Our entire table felt the same. No one had much of an opportunity to enjoy the buffet as they started breaking it down immediately after our table had been through the line. Plates were cleared before everyone was finished eating. Good experience, but the actual dinner was a disappointment.

This is something completely different! Watching the sunset, then dinner under the stars, with good food and drink. Very enjoyable!

We were in Australia for three weeks, and this was one of the the highlights of our trip! The ambiance was perfect for the experience. We were served champagne and hors d'oeuvres as the sun was setting over Kata Tjuta, the Olgas and Uluru, and didgeridoo music was played. The dinner consisted of Australian delicacies and was absolutely delicious. We were there in July, so we wore jackets for the cool evening. There were gas heaters which provided a lot of warmth. After dinner, an astronomer gave us an informative and entertaining tour of the southern night sky with the millions of stars and the planet Saturn. Telescopes were provided for those who wanted a closer look. If you have the chance to travel to Ayers Rock, do not miss this beautiful experience!

An enjoyable evening! Ayers Rock not as red in sunset as we expected. Memorable view of Jupiter and four moons through a telescope.

We stayed at the Ayers Rock camping ground, so were picked up first and then drove around for an hour picking other people up and then headed out along a very bumpy dirt road to the SoS location. Drinks and canapes were served on a raised area overlooking the rock - you are some distance away, nearly halfway to the Olgas, but you get a nice view. There was plenty of wine, beer, softies and canapes to go round. Going to the toilet was a bit of a drama, through, as the staff have to escort you almost 300m down a pathway to the dinner area and beyond. As it got dark, we headed down to the dinner area, which was laid out nicely with white linen and heaters. It is a buffet style, so whilst the food is OK, it probably won't win any awards. The highlight of the night was the astronomer, who talked us through the stars and night sky and then showed us planets through the telescopes. Once the evening is over, we were all dropped back at our accommodation; the bus ride back was much more jovial as everybody was well lubed from the free flowing wine and beers over dinner.

A must-do if travelling to Uluru. The food was of good quality considering the outdoor environment, and we received great service. However, the overall experience was let down by the stench of the pit toilets at the site.

There was only 30 seconds of silence! The dinner is called 'sounds of silence' and there wasn't any! This audience can be trusted to enjoy a longer period of keeping absolutely quiet. People love the stillness and only need to be asked. Communicate and prepare people for it - tell everybody in advance that they will be required to be silent for 2 minutes and they will do it. Try 2 minutes first and see if it works. 30 seconds was pathetic.

Enjoyed it, very well organised. If you want a great outdoor experience in Uluru, this is for you. Food was very good, too.

This was an amazing outback experience! The dinner was nice. The best part of the experience was the star-gazing. What a beautiful southern sky! The staff was very professional and courteous. It was very beautiful to stand on a spot between Ayers Rock and the Olgas and looking at the sunset.

Wonderful atmosphere but was very far away from Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Would have preferred to be much closer to watch the sunset.
