Indonesia may only be rivaled by Hawaii for having the best surf in the world. When it comes to uncrowded perfection, there simply is not comparison anywhere. Be careful though, Indonesia is for experienced surfers. There are places you can go to learn, but don't do it alone. Make sure you have experienced guides who know the area and the breaks. Bali is the places to start. Head to Kuta Beach for a warm up session. If you don't need one, head straight to Uluwatu, a wave that needs to be on any surfer's bucket list. Don't forget Dreamland, Padang Padang and Keramas for right handers. There are other great places, but you'll have to do your research. And you should do plenty before you go.
