Doing what: Floating Markets of Damnoen Saduak Cruise Day Trip from Bangkok
This was a fantastic 12 day trip! Pickup from the hotel was about 15 minutes late, but we didn't mind at all, given Bangkok's morning traffic. The tour guide was funny and bright. The whole trip there was smooth. The road trip must have been about 1.5 hours or a little bit more. On the way up, we stopped at a couple of stops which are also good things to see. First, a coconut stop, second a wood stop. The markets were absolutely beautiful and the day was nice and sunny, not humid like the inner city, so bring some sunscreen! Take a boat ride up the and around the market if you wish for an extra cost per person, but it was very worth it! It just buzzes by and the colours and sights are beautiful! What I like about this tour was the extra time for us to wander around and take it all in.

Really well organized from pick up to drop! The market was hectic but what do you expect. Our guide was really informative, will certainly book more trips with Viator.

Awesome. Traditional, not touristy, and so awesome care by our personal tour guide, who even gave us a Thai language tutorial! The stop at a local fishing market before the floating market is a precious memory! Going back again and bringing my mother to show off Thailand!

Doing what: Floating Markets and Rose Garden Cultural Center Day Tour from Bangkok
Loved the experience on the boat, touring on the canals and finally to the floating market! Very impressive place. Rose Garden is a beautiful place. Buffet lunch was fantastic, energized us for the rest of the day! The cultural show was very nice and most enjoyable. Recommended to anyone!

We did the half day and it was fantastic. The long tail speed boat was such a blast. Our guide was really enthusiastic and informative. He gave us a great history lesson of past and present day Thailand. The floating market is not to be missed.

Yes, it is just for tourists but it is so unique that you must go. Our guide for the day was a blast. She soon took notice that we were game to try new things and led us on a gourmet tour of the market. We ate everything that looked good to us and none of us got sick. So go ahead and enjoy the coconut pancakes.

I am no stranger to Thailand, but had never done this. Our guide was WONDERFUL, spoke very good English and shared so many facts about the life of Thai people along the way. The boat trip to the market was so serene. A little more time at the market would have been nice. Sure it is a tourist attraction, but if it wasn't worth doing it wouldn't be! Be sure to buy some fresh produce from the boats so they will continue to make the journey to the market to amaze us. Don't forget your camera! This was my fifth trip to Thailand this year and it still amazes me! There is so much to see along the way to and from the market.

You'll find different things here, real Thai food, Buddha statues, clothes, etc. If you go to Bangkok you have to go to a floating market. This is one of the most important, it's far from Bangkok but you'll have fun.

This was a very interesting tour and our guide was very good! If you're in the area you should definitely try to see the floating market. Watch out for the Tiger Balm vendors!

Excellent tour. Worth 100%. Wonderful guide. It provides excellent overview of the area with great explanation, as well as free time in a place where floating markets have much to offer. I would recommend this tour even for first timers in Thailand. Great quality / price rate.

Trip to the floating market was fantastic, the only down side is the wasted time spent and the coconut and wood factory. Would of preferred to spend longer at the market that visiting places that was of no interest to me.

A good trip which was well worth the money. Very much a tourist event rather than anything more authentic but lots of fun nonetheless. It was helpful that the trip was timed to arrive at the market early as it was really packed as we left.

I loved this tour, it was quiet an experience, a little scary and if you don't like boats or water I really wouldn't do the tour as you feel like the boat will tip over at any moment. However the shopping is great and you can get some really good deals. The boats are a bit of a novelty thing as you can simply walk around the markets and cross over bridges to get top the other side.

Doing what: Floating Markets and Rose Garden Cultural Center Day Tour from Bangkok
had a bit of confusion with as to pick-up point-we agreed earlier to meet at another hotel since we were told they do not pick-up at our hotel but our guide looked for us at our hotel when we were already at the agreed pick-up point.but no big deal because we did not lose much time anyway.travel to the floating market was comfortable because my family(3 of us) had the van to ourselves and the guide entertained us with a brief history of thailand.failed to get our guide's name but she was nice.she even advised me to try one dessert which she said was good.i did as i was told and glad that i did because it was good as she described.lunch at sampran riverside was good, and we had plenty of time to eat since we got there early from the orchid farm and floating market and before the cultural show.a lot of food to choose from.cultural show was fun,i especially liked the choreographed muay thai bit and a little boy seated in front of us enjoyed it as well because it was the only part of the show that got a reaction from him.hearing the boy's laugh was priceless.the elephant show, however, was too short and the price to take a picture with an elephant was too expensive-i think no one wanted to pay that much.but some people sneaked pictures with the elephant while the mahut was not looking and i found that offensive.i loved the part when the elephants danced!
