The city tour was excellent value. There were 3 different bus routes, leaving so that you could easily go on all 3. and obviously get off and back on if you wished. The timetables were easy to follow. There were only 3 stops on the bubble boat, but we had the boat to ourselves, on a couple of the trips. The bubble boat pass was actually valid for 24 hours from when you first used it, so we didn't need to rush to get it all done in the same day.
Excellent value for money. You can to lots of places you wont see on a tour. off the beaten track and to see everyday living not just the fancy areas.
On the whole excellent although one bus we got on gave us no commentary at all
we didn't enjoyed the open-top bus because you have to go all the way back where you were dropped off to catch the bus. Bubble Jet boat was nice and relaxing....
Hours operated by bus don't go late enough
I was somewhat disappointed to find out that the bus stopped operating at 5pm. I guess to do in the evening is another tour. I therefore, only could take advantage of about three of the hours, due to another tour being booked first thing for the following morning. This was my first day in Singapore, hence took me a little time to get organized. Never the less, I do believe its a worth while tour.
It is worth taking, but we had difficulty in taking the right buses as the tours were not appropriately highlighted and we could benefit to the fullest.
The complimentary pick up from hotel to the Open Top Bus was great! I wish their hours of operation was longer.
Thought the commentary was very poor. Also buses only ran on one line every two hours so basically not practicable to use.
Only good part of this tour was the boat ride. First bus had no guide/ voice over and did not stop at designated stops, second bus had voice over which you could not hear properly due to bus noise. Suggest you save your money and use mrt
What can I say! TERRIBLE!!!!!
I have taken the red bus Hop on Hop off all around the world but this company is disgusting! They do not provide earphones like the red bus company nor any taped or live commentary on the bus. One bus had a voice over (one could barely hear at the upper level) that named only the stops when the bus driver decided to stop, no history or information about the city was given. When you buy the ticket at the flyover station, the reception rushes one through the line..no time to tell you that there are no earphones ( I found out later the earphones costs $2, a waste of money since there is no commentary) and no information on the bus. A map was given so it was up to the tourist to follow the map and read where we were driving..no chance to look outside and enjoy being told about the landmarks like in the other countries when we ride the Red Bus. I was so frustrated with the two buses I rode that we decided to do the sights on our own. I am writing a review on Trip Advisor. I am a world traveler who has been to every continent and been on every hop on hop off of the RED BUS company so I have an informed opinion. I give this company a minus 1!!! Take them off your list. People who give this company a positive review have not been on a "real hop on hop off". They may think it is only transportation.
