Güell Park (Parc Güell)

Güell Park is known as one of Gaudí's most colorful works and its expansive display of this artist's playful architecture is what makes it one of Barcelona's top attractions. While the park was originally meant to be a housing development ...

My cousin and I booked this tour just a few days prior to the actual date. We did the full day tour. It was definitely a great way to see all the major sights in Barcelona. We both enjoyed the memorable experience. Because this is a one day tour, you only get to really hit the places for a short period of time before moving on to the next. If you have time, definitely go back to some of the sites (ex. Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Gothic Quarter) and really take your time to look around. For the second half of the tour, our last stop was La Pedrera. Our guide left us after a short time and we got to take our time there, which is really nice. Book it... you won't regret it!

Barcelona hop-on Hop-off best of all those we've been on. Very comprehensive tour. Long uphill walk to Parc Guell from drop off point.

Whether you're only in Barcelona for a couple days or for a long stay, highly recommend this tour as a way to see important sights and get oriented to the city! Gloria was a very entertaining and knowledgable guide. Highly worth being able to skip the line at both La Sagrada Familia and La Pedrada, but my favorite stop was Park Guell with the unique architecture and lovely views over the city.

This trip was wonderful except that for the morning portion we had 28 people, including three young children, which was much too large. The afternoon, with ten, was much more manageable. We spent much too much time at Montjuic, so we had very little time in the Gothic quarter. Sagrada Familia was terrific, as was Parc Guell. Our guide, Felicianos, was very knowledgeable and obviously loves his job and city. The only truly disappointing thing about the trip was the size of the group.

This tour is a must for all first time Barcelona visitors. It was very comprehensive, detailed and enjoyable. Our guide Fabian was great, his knowledge of Barcelona's history is impressive. He was super friendly and approachable and we felt comfortable with him and his english was excellent. I would recommend the full day tour which took us to places like Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Jewish quarters, Barri Gotic, MontJuic, Passeig De Gracia and much more. Please note the full day tour ends at La Pedrera so you have to make your way home from there. Overall we learnt a great deal of Catalunya's history from an amazing guide.

The Montserrat Mountains were simply breathtaking even before the fog lifted. The views on the drive up the mountain were equally impressive. The Barcelona Gaudi Tour was ok. The walk in and around Park Guell was a good 'Gaudi' experience however the tour could be improved by including entry to Sagrada Famillia or Casa Battlo.

We felt the full day tour was a great overview of Barcelona while allowing us to spend time at places we really wanted to see such as La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and Casa Mila.It would have been helpful, however, to have more information provided to us while inside La Sagrada Familia. We liked the fact that there were only about 20 of us as well. The comprehensive nature of the tour familiarized us with areas that we were able to go back and spend additional time on our own.

This was good to get an overview of Barcelona, although the PArk Guell stop is a little deceiving to drop you off down the bottom of the hill and tell you to take a 10 minute walk to the site.
The way we went when the hop on - hop off was over was to take the subway to the closest stop and walked.

It was a wonderful way to get the flavor of Barcelona! We cannot say enough about the trip, allowing us to get off and on when we wanted to, see what we felt was important, and have the luxury of moving on in a satisfactory manner. In addition, our tour of the Parc Guell was terrific, one and a half hours with a private guide - what luxury!!!

We had a limited amount of time so were only able to get off at Park Guell but rode the bus all around the city for a great overview. English commentary was appreciated.

Very enjoyable. My only complaint would be the distance required to get to some of the venues, such as Park Guell.

The bus tour was an awesome experience, visited all the landmarks in Barcelona and give me time to visit what i wanted and take the next bus with a very short waiting time between 5-10 minutes. I really enjoyed the audio service that was very well organized with the sight seeing areas. The only negative thing is that I could not do the guided tour at Park Guell as I was 5 mins late and could not find anybody to help me find them or know anything about the guided tour, so I missed the tour and the money that I have paid! I wonder if there any way for a refund?

Thanks

Mohamed Elemary

Our tour guide was fabulous It was great to be able to skip the line at Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. The walking part of the tour was good and our trip to Park Guell - well you just have to go there

Enjoyed seeing the other side of the city and getting off at Parc Guell for a little wander, buses were frequent and changing the voucher was easy.

Worth your $ and taking the full day (especially if you're into Modernist art) if you're not tired (it's a kind of exhausting but not strenuous tour) and you just want a bare bones intro to the main sites. I found that after the tour, I just wanted to have a more in-depth guided tour of each site...! A 3- or 4-day slower-paced but more detailed guided trip would be perfect. History/background were mostly outside of the major sites and then inside (Sagrada, Guell), it's some time on your own to guide yourself through the site. Our tour guide had some great stories and an even better sense of dry humour. Very knowledgable on both Barcelona back in the day and "A Day in the Life" of a Barcelonian. One of my favorite parts of the tour was the Gothic Quarter around Placa Jaume and the Cathedral, where we went into little side streets to get some rich history stories. Unfortunately, I don't remember our guide pointing out the Casa Batlló or Hospital de Sant Pau, which is a bummer. It also would have been nice if the art highlights were a little more well-balanced, i.e. Picasso and Dali, not just Gaudi. It would have been nice if, after la Pedrera, they bussed us right to the door of the Picasso Museum! (Also, it's much closer to the starting point--it was a little disorienting to end blocks and blocks away from our origin). All in all, a solid intro tour that just leaves you asking for more (seriously, spend at least 4 days in this city!)
