We had an absolute blast on this tour. The van was comfortable enough and the sites we visited were great. Tarragona and the aqueduct especially were amazing. We were fortunate and visited during a festival day and got to enter the Circus facility for free. They were also doing the human towers which was fun to watch. Sitges was a nice little town which we enjoyed walking around and having lunch. Nothing felt rushed. We had a great time.
excellent, engaging tour guide, of course Montserrat itself is amazing but the tour itself was well done
Excellent tour! Everything went like clockwork. The guide on the bus and the guide in Girona were both extremely knowledgeable and attentive to everyone on the tour. Very professional!
This was a wonderful tour with a lot of variety. This was our first trip to Spain so it was nice to see a little of the countryside. There were 6 people in our group and the guide was great and shared his knowledge about the local culture as well as the history of the areas that we visited. At Montserrat we visited the Basilica, listened to the Boy's Choir, and hiked up the mountain trail. There was also an art museum but we didn't have enough time to visit. After lunch, we drove to a vineyard and had a wonderful tour and then sampled multiple wines. We started at 8:30 sharp and returned at 7 PM. Highly recommend this tour.
I loved this tour. Anything Gaudi designed is truly other worldly and so worth seeing. Like the Gaudi crypt. Truly beautiful. Montserrat was magical, spiritual and the views stunning. The monastery is impressive and highlight was listening to boys choir and then guided through their school.
Besides the Monastery, Montserrat offers a splendid Natural Park. The Gaudi Crypt gave a glimpse into Gaudi's incredible architecture, as we had not seen Basilica of the Sagrada Familia. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. We also had a local guide from Montserrat who gave us a tour of the school in the Monastery.
Our tour guide Emma was a great guide! We were a group of 8 people and we started off with Tarragona. Emma gave us a lot of information on the way and after we took a look at the attractions, she gave us free time to wander around this town. We were very lucky because on our day, September 23rd, there was the feast and we watched the Catalan people building human castles castellers. We will never forget it!! We then headed off to Sitges, another town by the beach where we head free time to wander around and have our lunch. Highly recommended tour - best tour agency in Barcelona always in my opinion!
This tour was wonderful! Our tour guide Josep was the best guide we had during our 11-day holiday and he gave us all the necessary information that we needed for this tour. After the tour he also gave us some recommendations about restaurants in Barcelona amongst others. Both Girona and Costa Brava were wonderful. I recommend this tour to everybody visiting Barcelona!!
Our visit to the Gaudi Crypt helped us to appreciate our tour of Sagrada Familia. The history of Colonial Guell is very interesting and we're glad that it is still an active community today. Really a unique site to visit. Montserrat is amazing. In particular I enjoyed the tour of the boys' school and the funicular up the mountain for a spectacular view of the monastery. In addition, Paula in your home office was a great help to us during our stay in Barcelona.
We had a wonderful day out at Montserrat, highly recommended!
The trip to Montserrat Monastery was very well organised with the right amount of information during the coach ride, the train was a bit of a surprise as we where expecting wooden carriages but it was more like modern railway and very comfortable. Once at the Monastery the views are outstanding with plenty of time to look around and do your own thing.the museum was well worth the visit. Recommend taking a jumper as it does feel much cooler up there.
Despite the clouds and drizzle, we had a great day away from Barcelona, north to Montserrat. The local places we stopped to make our own tomato bread, and sample local meats and cheeses was enjoyable. The low hanging clouds at Montserrat actually gave a majestic feel like we were above the clouds. Also enjoyed eating grapes off the vines, touring the vineyard, and tasting wines and cava at the vineyard.
This is a very nice tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and witty. The mass at Montserrat is a must specially the choir.
The Cava tasting was also excellent. Learned a lot about wine making and tasting. Excellent presentation by our guide from Pares Balta
Excellent tour and tour guide, worth every penny we paid. The tour was extremely informative both in regards to montserrat itself as well to Barcelona in general. Montserrat is a beautiful place! Totally recommended.
A wonderful day trip from Barcelona....excellent guide, driver. Dali museum will blow your mind and Girona es muy preciosa.
This tour was really lovely. Girona was just what I was looking for outside of Barcelona to get a taste of the past, and Costa Brava was gorgeous! It was great to have a good chunk of time to just sit and have a coffee and soak up the sun.
Perfect weather, perfect time of year. Good way to see the Pyrenees if you have limited time or don't want to rent a car. Our guide was Mabel and driver Giuseppe, did a great job.
Wow! Such a great tour - highly recommend this. The towns of Girona and Pals are just beautiful. Our guide Joseph was just wonderful and explained the history with passion and humour - we were lucky to have him for the day. Lunch at Costa Brava sitting right on the beach was just amazing!! Thanks for a great day!
This was my absolute favourite tour from my trip to Barcelona. The views from on top of Montserrat are literally breathtaking. My tour guide was spectacular and on the hiking segment of the tour, showed us a little path to one of the peaks. From this point I got to witness unobstructed panoramic views of Spain.
Loved the mix of beautiful mountain vistas and historic town visits. David was an engaging guide who shared his knowledge and love of the area. We had a little less time to explore Vic than we had hoped due a rainstorm but the trip's plan was one that allowed us to see and experience a part of the Pyrenees that we would have not have pursued on our own. David offered information about Catalan history as well points of interest in and around Barcelona for future touring. This trip was worth the time and money.

The drive to Montserrat was scenic and as we approached, I figure 30-45 minutes for viewing and pictures. Our guide gave us a briefing and then said we would meet in 3 1/2 hours. I looked at him like he was crazy.
Clearly, I had not done my homework. A cable car ride to the top, a nice paced walk down with breathtaking view the whole way, a short live mass viewing while waiting for the famous boys choir it was packed so full it was almost not worth it but they were amazing, a quick lunch, a walk through the art museum and I glance at my watch only to realize I have to briskly walk back to te rendezvous. The time evaporated!
Highly recommend if you are in Barcelona for more than a couple days.
Our trip then continued to the Parez Balta winery. A very nice small to medium sized place for the region. Our guide was passionate, knowledgeable and a great hostess. Tasted a limited edition that was smooth and refined. I'm not a big sparkling wine fan, but would serve this over most champaign I've had for even close to the price 22 in house! I didn't research local pricing. We had nice samplings of a white, rose and red as well. All were mid range wines but all were nice. The prize of this trip was the learning more fine details of the process and the science behind it, the tasting was more bonus.
If you're looking to taste a larger variety for comparison i.e. 84 to 90 rated red with reviews on how ratings were reviewed as displayed in the lobby, then this might not be the trip for you. If you're looking for great local insight of the process with a scenic ride in and out and a nice small sampling, it's would be hard to match.
Tour was excellent. Montserrat was hopelessly crowded. The location of the local tour company was not communicated to us in advance. Very frustration, difficult and lucky to have found it's location. Fojund it only from local police.
I loved Tarragona immediately. Sitges was bombastic
Montserrat really a winderful attraction, it is excellent trip with a great tour guide
The trip was great and our guide Emma was outstanding! Having time to explore Montserrat on our own was perfect. The Cava tour was very insightful video at the start of the tour could use a little refinement, but as a marketer, I guess I'm a little tough on marketing tactics!. The cava itself was great and I left with several bottles.
