Montserrat was beautiful really worth going there to see the church and the natural beauty of the mountains. The Barcelona Gaudi tour was also excellent we were able to spend time in Park Guell and the guide was great her knowledge and personality added a great touch to the tour.
Brilliant tour. Ariadna was our guide and she was fabulous, it rounded off what had been a slightly traumatic evening with something spectacular. I hadn't realised what a genius Gaudi was until this tour and it made me enjoy Sagrada even more the next day. Well worth it!
I always like to take a city tour like thsi to give you an overview of a city. It helps me decide what areas I want to return to spend more time and also I get to see places I may not normally have time to see. Well this tour did not disappoint. It is actually two tours in one when the upgrade is added. The first half is the Gothic Quarter and Montjuic. Ana was our guide for this part. Like a good Mother Goose she made sure that her flock was well tended to. She was highly informative and took some really nice photos of us.
After a break for lunch we returned for the second half of the tour. This was lead by Julio. The group was much larger for this part but he kept us all together and did not lose any of us. This part focused on the more modern mainly the Born distict and the Gaudi architecture. The visit to Park Guell was fascinating if also a bit cold. All in all it was a fun day!
Doing what: Barcelona in One Day Sightseeing Tour
My 12 yr old son and I had just a day in Barcelona, (fly in fly out). I chose the hop-on hop-off east to west route. I have to say i am so pleased we did - we managed top get all around Barcelona with commentary and just jumped off when we found what we were looking for - Gaudi etc. It was extremely easy to navigate as well as giving us lots of information, which you wouldn't get otherwise. Facades of buildings, what they "used" to be, it was really interesting. the wifi was a little tricky if you don't have email already activated on your phone, you can't get the link.which can be frustrating. i used the wifi at the top of the Gaudi apartment to access my email and then we had wifi on the bus. not everyone would know how to get around that problem, and when you are travelling free wifi is what you are looking for.
wow, this was the most amazing thing i saw in Spain. i studied Gaudi at art school and to be able to stand in that space and see exactly how it was meant to be, i was breathless . Magnificant. Skip the queue you dont want to be standing there waiting in the cold. Commentary was excellent, crtazy expensive gift shop but we bought lots none the less. It was the highlight of Barcelona - do it!
This tour was amazing. There was enough time to really learn a lot of history and get a good feel for the hewrtbeat of Barcelona. Next time I would do the full day so I could see Gaudi's Park Guell. Tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. He made the experience for me. Thanks
We arrived very early and asked if it was possible to go on the 3 O'Clock tour instead of the 4 O'Clock tour. No problem at all so we were not hanging around, so a great start. I forget the gentlemans name who took us around, but he was excellent. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic is how I would describe him. I thought the tour was well balanced in the fact it was not too long and we were then able to go our seperate ways and explore ourselves. We had a great time just looking at the stunning detail of Gaudi's work. I am keen on photography, the light inside is amazing. Once again , great tour and thank you.
Doing what: Skip the Line: Barcelona Sagrada Familia Tour
The tour is great. We have been in Barcelona twice before, but a few years ago. This time, I enjoyed the most. I took lots of great pictures, particularly at the Sagrada Familia and the roof of the La Pradrala. I am still working on those pictures. Totally impressed with Antonio Gaudi's work. The tour guide was great and explained everything. I would ogle recommend this tour to anyone.
This was the last tour of a 12 day cruise of the Meditteranean and it was the best one we took. This tour was amazing. Our guide Nil was very knowledgable about everything we saw and always added more of his personal insights to make it even more interesting. It is certainly worth the money from being able to skip the line at Sagrada Familia and then getting to see a lot of Gaudi's extraordinary work up close and then a wonderful walk through the old streets of Barcelona. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and I can't wait for a return visit to this beautiful city.
We very much enjoyed our tour and Jordy was a great guide. We had ample time for the Sagrada Familia and Jordy gave us a lot of insight on the history. I was also very glad that we toured Casa Batllo on the previous day,one of the homes Gaudi designed. It made seeing his work on Sagrada Familia much more interesting. Montserrat was wonderful and beautiful. We were all glad we went. We ran out of time to go into the museum there and truly wish we had done that. We would have liked to ride the cable car down the mountain too so we would have liked a little more time there. We were so hungry by the time we arrived that we had to stop and grab a quick bite. My suggestion would be to pack a sandwich or snacks to eat on the way there in order to use your time wisely once you arrive.
What a place!! The view of the lite- up city was amazing at nite. I always loved Dali, but, Gaudi is replacing him. The inside of La Pradrera is so classy. I would do this tour again.
What a fun and full day. Saw all kinds of sites and got our fill of Gaudi!! Our guide, Gloria, was wonderful and informative. There was a festival going on, and we got slowed down when some of the plazas were filled with people, but our guide navigated us through all this chaos quite expertly! It was very exciting! People have to remember (for the full day tour) that the usual lunch time in Spain is about 2 PM - a few in our group were complaining when we weren't stopping for lunch right at noon! There was more walking on this tour than we expected, which was fine by me, but it was a bit hard on my hubby who has back problems....perhaps this should be mentioned in the write up. But we were 100% satisfied with what we got to see, and the expert commentary provided by our guide.
Anna was marvelous as our guide. She did an excellent job of reviewing the history of Barcelona and the particulars of Gaudi's works.
What a wonderful place Barcelona is, we felt relaxed, welcomed and thoroughly blown away with he architecture and art throughout the city. Viator sent email reminders on the days leading up to our visit so we would not forget to print off the voucher. We exchanged the voucher for the museum cards at the Barcelona airport Tourist Information kiosk, however there are other places in Barcelona to make the exchange and this is printed on the voucher. We bought the museum card and other tickets online before our visit and it was worthwhile doing this because we avoided all the waiting in queues and went straight in. The audio guides are well worth the extra euros and these are clearly spoken and add to the experience whether you're visiting Gaudi's architectural buildings or one of the many art galleries or museums. All these places are well organised, people friendly, with helpful members of staff located throughout. We will be visiting Barcelona again, a great and wonderful place to visit.
Doing what: Barcelona Museum Pass
