Just a short drive from Barcelona, natural wonders such as waterfalls and saw-shaped mountains await. Catalonia has some of the most interesting mountains in the world, and you shouldn't miss the famous Montserrat, named after the steep formation’s saw-like appearance. The Montserrat and Cava Trail Small Group Day Trip from Barcelona takes you from the busy city to a peaceful place where medieval architecture blends with the natural world. Besides these cultural possibilities, the paths of the Montserrat parkland lead you around a number of different walks, each offering a different perspective on the stunning views over the surrounding landscape. If you have limited time, try the Montserrat Half-Day Small-Group Tour with Optional Cable Car Ride and Skip-the-Line Ticket to La Sagrada Familia to explore the spectacular mountains and city!
Another popular site, lying between Spain and France, are the incredible Pyrenees Mountains. You'll visit charming mountain villages, ride the rack railway to a stunning mountain valley, and enjoy the opportunity to hike, bike, horseback ride, and more on a Pyrenees Mountains Small Group Day Trip from Barcelona.

Doing what: Montserrat Half-Day Small-Group Tour with Optional Cable Car Ride and Skip-the-Line Ticket to La Sagrada Familia
Fracesco was my guide and there were only the 2 of us. During the drive to Montserrat, he gave me lots of the ancient and current history of Barcelona and Catalunya. The approach to Montserrat was breathtaking and I now see why one really needs a full day to truly enjoy and appreciate it. The weather was a bit too cold and windy for me to do the walks or enjoy the tram to the top plus there wasn't enough time. We went down the opposite side of Montserrat and stopped at a charming little church from the 1400's. As we approached Barcelona and La Sagrada Familia he gave me more history and made sure I knew where to go to enter, etc. Like another reviewer, I was confused that we went to Montserrat first, then to La Sagrada, without any explanation. I found my way back to my hotel, which ironically is just a few blocks from the Explore Catalunya office.

Doing what: Small-Group Mediterranean Sea Sailing Trip from Barcelona
Robert was absolutely wonderful! Since it is winter and the city is not quite as busy, our sailing trip ended up being private. The seas were a bit choppy due to a windy and cold afternoon. We had great confidence and trust in Roberts sailing abilities.

Doing what: Montserrat and Cava Trail Small Group Day Trip from Barcelona
We both had a great trip. Montserrat was beautiful. I would fully recomend a smaller tour over the big ones. The beauty of the tour is the size. They give you time to walk around on your own and explore. Plus the winery trip was fantastic. Wines that make you come back for more. Highly recommend!
