The tour guide gave a good explanation throughout the tour. Highly recommended. A very good day out at the castle
This is a great tour! Everyone who comes to Munich should make the trip to see the castle. The views are breathtaking!
Our guide, Keith, was awesome! The actual tour of the castle is interesting, but the best part is the views and the scenery in the mountains.
Just a warning, this tour offered two options to get to the castle - walking up or paying to take the bus. The walk is TOUGH. It's gravel and on a huge incline. Take the bus. You don't miss anything by not walking up, except maybe not sweating. :)
This tour also offered the option to walk down through the gorge on the way down. Do this! SO PRETTY!
Our guide was really fantastic. He knew a lot and was very helpful. He also made everything very fun and easy for the group. I was glad I took this tour as the hassle and waits alone would make it worth it, not to mention how much more he knew about everything than the actual tour guide in the castle. My only complaint is actually that the castle tour guides were rather useless (but they are there no matter how you do this trip). So honestly this tour was perfect and allowed me to see the castle and all the best picture spots along the way!
Our trip to Neuschwanstein was the greatest! Very well organized, perfect size group and Jeff, our tour guide was the best! He was well versed on stories and history of the castle and presented it very well. All with enthusiasm all through the whole tour as well as humor along the way. We highly recommend this trip and ask for Jeff to be your guide.

It was wonderful being personally escorted to Neuschwanstein, skipping the line, and being shown all the sites around castle without the usual hustle-bustle of popular attractions like that. Our tour guide, Caroline, was great. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. We would absolutely recommend this tour to others.
This was an amazing experience. The castle and the surrounding scenery were very beautiful and the guide was very cheerful and informative. The climb up the mountain was very steep and strenuous however it was well worth the climb!
Spectacular view of the castle from the bridge. Tour guide was an odd character but his storytelling ability and history of the castle and its king was amazing.
Given the length of the journey to Füssen and the brevity of the castle tour itself, it was well worth the money to have our Viator guide handle all the transit logistics—and to give us the story of Ludwig and his castle before we got there. Absolutely a day well spent!
Great castle. A very nice tour
The destination is wonderful and a magical experience. Due to the newly melted snow the path was extremely slippery, so we decided to take the horse and wagon up the hill. Enjoyed the castle tour, even though it is hard to hear the guide in the larger rooms. Perhaps audio guides would work better for this venue.
Also, a lot of duplicate information about Ludwig from the tour guide and the castle guide.
Very good tour and guide. Well worth the walk up to the castle!! Stunning views . Train journey took us through some delightful scenery. Would definitely recommend.
The castles were very interesting and greatly enjoyed. There is some hiking up hill and a lot of steps. No complaints except it was very busy with lots of tourist. We did the private tour which was well worth it. The guide knew all the "ins". And really helped us navigate our way from tour to tour.
Oh my goodness...rising out of the side of the mountain is the Castle! Given the elevation, I'm SO glad we had the option of taking a bus up to the castle..and SHOULD have taken it round-trip! Mike, our guide, was a blast on the bus and a font of knowledge...Definitely glad we booked this tour, especially given our limited time in Germany...Mary's Bridge is a great experience and I really enjoyed the artist and the hurdy-gurdy man that "entertain" there...felt like walking back in time...
A very nice day, well organized and fun, especially the walk in the woods to and from the castle made this tour one of a kind.
Very good but too little time at castle and surroundings
