Doing what: Mont Saint Michel Day Trip

I had been to the Mont before on an independent visit, so I thought I was an expert. I learned so much on this guided tour about the history of the Mont and the current events there. Our guide was very well informed and spoke beautiful English. My only change would be to skip the lunch at the hotel in order to spend more time on the Mont.

Well done! ....saw a lot in 3 days...knowledgeable and friendly guides who spoke good English..... hotels were clean with large rooms. Suggestions: include a winery stop.....don't spend so much time on lunch stops as it takes time from what we want to see...give us choices for food. For example my wife does not eat beef or pork

The driving was a bit too long, took at least 4 hours to get there. Its better to stay overnight so we can watch the famous tide around the "island".

It was a wonderful, tour. The guide was personable, accommodating and knowledgable.

Well organised 2 day tour. Our guide was absolutely wonderful, a wealth of information about the history of each place on the itinerary. Adequate time allowed at each stop and the overnight stay at the Novatel was of a good standard. 100% satisfied

The 2 day tour was fabulous and I recommend it. The sight of Mont St Michel as it came into view from the bus was awesome. We had lunch first before going to the Mont and that was good but took about an hour. There were only two toilets in the restaurant so a queue quickly formed - there is a lack of public toilets in France, my only complaint. You can take a free bus to and from the Mont but could walk if you want. The actual village of Mont St Michel was fascinating but a fairly steep climb up many steps. You need a reasonable level of mobility to reach the top parts. Many, many tourists unfortunately. Beautiful views around the surrounding countryside from the top parts. The overnight accommodation at the Mecure Hotel and the meals provided were all good. On the next day was the return trip to Paris via the chateaux. I saw the chateaux of Langeais, Chenonceau and Chambord and all were different from each other but were worth seeing. The grounds of the chateaux were lovely to walk around. The guides were all English speaking. The trip was well organized and an enjoyable time was had. Highly recommended.

This 3-day trip was the perfect way to cover this much territory in a relaxing way. Our guide was wonderful - very informative about the history of each location. I would recommend it as a way to see the countryside without the hassle of renting a car.

We took this tour because we had been to Paris before and this time really wanted to get out of the city to explore some other regions. We were looking to see Mont St. Michel and stumbled upon this option.

Overall, I think this was a really great value and a great way to see other areas of France if you're interested. We actually visited Honfleur in addition to what's on the itinerary and found it to be a really charming little harbor town -- one of the highlights.

Something to note, when it says you "See the D Day Landing Beaches of Omaha" that's pretty literal as Omaha beach is actually considered a picture stop. I think everyone on our tour was hoping for a little more than 7 minutes there (actually the amount of time given), so just a little heads up.

Mont St Michel is pretty impressive but I'm glad we didn't see it as a single day trip. It's quite the drive and the two days definitely broke it up a little.

Amazing trip to this unique castle. We had a lovely tour guide. There were a lot of steps to the castle but once at the top the rewards were amazing. We enjoyed this great tour and lovely lunch at the bottom of the castle.
