The tour itself was fantastic, very interesting and a beautiful place. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and happy to answe any questions we had.
We only thought a 1 hour lunch was a bit wasteful when we could have been exploring Mont St MIchel. Maybe just grab your own lunch or give out packed lunches on the bus?

This tour was an excellent value to be able to see a large part of the north-western part of France. There was a good balance of tour time and free time, and the places we stopped along the way were very beautiful. One recommendation is that most of the American tourists felt that more time should have been set aside at the Normandy landing areas. We would recommend headphones for everyone on the bus so that we didn’t have to hear all of the information repeated four times in different languages. The headphones would also have been beneficial to be able to hear our guide in several places we visited. We met a lot of very nice people and we would recommend this tour,

A 14 hour day but well worth it. The mountain is so historic, it is stunning. Lunch could best be described as adequate. The location was good but food food the group was ordinary. Great Guide. KB

Excellent day trip to MSM. we had a wonderful time there. Guide leading through the abbey was excellent. However, we felt that there wasn't enough time to explore the back streets of MSM and it was a little pricy for a day trip. Most of the time were spent on traveling on the road and we met with an unfortunate event where the tires to the coach burst and our bus captain had to change them before heading to Paris central. We were over an hour behind schedule. Well, no one expects something like that to happen. other than that, we had a good time at MSM and a good day trip outside Paris.

Trip was good and probably worth seeing, tour was good, however it is a looong bus ride and you will spend about 8 hours on the bus to only about 4 touring.

I'll start with the bad: this was a very large group with many languages spoken, particularly Japanese. There were also many tours (1-day, 2-day, 3-day, guided, unguided) so it was confusing. The trip is VERY long (about 5 hours each way). The lunch was just ok. The good: our tour guide had the English and Spanish groups (I speak both) and he was very knowledgeable about the abbey. Amazing place.

Far too much time was spent having lunch. My husband and I along with a number of others were very keen to use whatever time we had at Mont Saint Michel itself. Lunch could have been eaten on the bus during the journey. Tour Guides had great difficulty with the sound system on the bus at first which was very distracting however, our English speaking guide was very informative.

We visited many very interesting and historically important locations on this tour. Unfortunately, in my opinion, not nearly enough time was spent on the Normandy beaches part of the tour. Overall, the tour was rushed and time was wasted driving back and forth to some of the locations. Visiting Mount St. Michel was a highlight of the tour but, again, we had really very little time at the location. The guide was very nice and friendly but her accent was so thick that it was sometimes difficult to understand her. I have to say that I was disappointed in this tour.

This is just my opinion, but personally I wasn't too impressed. Not with Mont Saint Michel, but with the tour instead. First, the seating was very tight with little leg room (I am only 5'8" and 155lbs). You were not allowed to use the toilet on the bus unless it was an emergency. There were three tours going on at the same time: English, Japanese and Italian. Halfway through the journey, the bus had to stop for a half an hour break which really added traveling time onto your trip. When we got to Mont Saint Michel, we were sent to a restaurant for lunch. We had to sit with rude travelers and travelers who just had to dominate the table. Annoying. You had no selections of what you could eat. They picked it for you. Half of the food was just nasty! When you went on the tour the earsets that you received on the tour kept breaking up and the guide rushed you through everything. I don't even know what he said most of the time. But then again, with Italian and Japanese tours going on at the same time, it all sounded like mumbo-jumbo by this point. Even though Mont Saint Michel was a sight to behold, I really was not impressed with this tour at all.

Poor coordination for checking in. Nothing was mentioned to check in before boarding, Therefore we had to go back to the office. Inconvenient. Bus monitor/guide was excellent. Rest stops need to be staggered so 10 buses do not stop at the same place at the same time. Impossible to go to the restroom with a couple of hundred people specially within a span of 15 minutes. My husband was upsed when japanese women used the men's bathroom.Lunch was not what we expected. We were treated like cattle. The woman in charge was unfriendly and there was no choice for the food. Visit to the Mont was interesting but too short. No time for souvenirs. Impossible to get something to eat since every restaurant was closed at 2:00pm and were not willing to open to even serve a sandwich. They acted like we committed a crime to ask for service. Our recommendation "Plannning needs some improvement and a change of restaurant is need.''

This trip was my least favorite of the 3 we have taken. The lunch was fine but I didn't think the amount of time it took to get there was worth it. There is not much to see except the abbey.
