We enjoyed this tour a lot. Our guide had good English skills and was very knowledgeable and personable. She gave us the time we needed at all the sites we visited and was able to answer all our questions about the history and the area we were seeing. Our only complaint was about parking; when I booked, I was told there was parking behind the Churchill Hotel, but it was packed. We needed to know about the nearby public parking as well. Be sure customers have that information.
Our guide was fantastic, extremely well versed. Had pictures of before and after battles and photos of men who fought there. A great learning experience.
Viator made it very easy to book our tour to the beaches. The tour itself was comprehensive, gave us a deeper appreciation for the D Day operation and our tour guide was charming, gracious and above all, knowledgeable.
It was a good trip and worth doing – but it was a very long day – forget views of the mount lunch they cram you up in a corner of the room with no views (the restaurant was not busy - plenty of seats with views but not for viator?) – Guides and drivers very good
Mont Saint Michel is truly one of the best places in the world to spend time - and I am not a religious person. Our day trip was fantastic. The luncheon provided did not meet the needs of everyone on the tour, with several of the passengers requiring vegetarian meals only. Perhaps there needs to be an option for this on the order form. But overall we had a fabulous day and have already recommended to several of my colleagues who are also visiting France later this year.
An absolutely fabulous half-day tour. Our guide was a very personable local with excellent English who made the history of the region light up with impressive knowledge of the specifics of battles and the people involved. The tour hit all the important sights (especially for those familiar with the American landing points) and ended at a reasonable time. Would suggest a more well-defined meeting point other than "outside the train station", but otherwise this was a near-perfect tour. Thank you!
At first, I was kind of worry about the "4 hours" ride, but that was surprisingly nice and enjoyable! The bus they use was a double decker, and we were all sitting on the top level. Ride was smooth and comfortable! Lunch that was included in the trip was pretty good too. The omelet - it's ok, very different, but the salmon was GOOD! Perfectly cooked! The apple pie at the end was very nice too. It's was a very nice lunch. But if you are a vegetarian, DON'T join the one with lunch!! It's a fix menu!! The place is very nice, even it was low tide when we were there. Inside the Abbey so so. But I still think it's worth going if you have spare time in France.
