This was a meaningful and informative tour that covered Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American cemetery. We hadn't realized the significance of Pointe du Hoc and I'm glad we took this tour for that site alone. Our guide was very knowledgeable, as well as a good driver with a comfortable van. The tour ran right on schedule. If you are staying in Bayeux, before or after the tour you can pay a visit to the local military cemetery in Bayeux and the museum there to get an even better feel for the events in the area in 1944.

Beyond my expectations. Matthieu was a wonderful guide, teaching so much history in such an engaging style. While it is possible to go at it on your own, renting a car and reading a guide book along the way, this experience was so much richer. Don't hesitate to book a tour. You won't regret it!!!

My husband and I loved this half-day tour. We only had a day to spend in Bayeux and we felt lucky to get such a great half-day tour of the beaches. Most of that was due to the fantastic tour guide we had. He was excellent - spoke good English and did a great job of showing us the area. We were very pleased with the price as well. I highly recommend it.

The guide was very informative, helpful that he is local. He could also give us additional info about the Normandy areas other than WW2 facts. The stays at each point could have been longer. Thank you!

We immensly enjoyed our Half-day Normandy Beaches tour. The guide was knowledgable, courteous and answered questions from all guests regardless of its importance. We learned more from his professionalism than I ever did from studying the D-Day event.
If any changes need to be made to this Half-Day event, it would be the notification (call) to your agency about the pick-up place and time. We had to call the agency four times in order to get to talk to someone. The first call (after 9:AM) was not answered. The second call, about an hour later, we were told to call back after 11:00 AM. The third call about 11:00 AM we finally got to talk to an agent but she put us off until 1:00 PM. By this time we were within the 24 hour deadline that you imposed. Finally, though, we were able to talk to someone and give them the information (which you already had) of our pick up time and place. This process within you agency need some tweeking.

It is very difficult for me to rate this tour because as a person I liked my guide. Professionally and importantly he had many weaknesses. While watching all the other guides who were really into their jobs explain the area with vigor and actually explain what we were looking at our guide merely drove us there gave us a meek overview and waited in the parking lot. I felt that we could have seen more and enjoyed more if he planned his itinerary better, but he did not. I felt as if it was slapped together quickly and I did not receive the most bang for my buck. If you don't really care to much about DDay and want a quick overview this is the tour for you.

The American cemetery is not the only thing to see in Normandy. Point du Hoc was simply amazing and I would recommend this trip to anyone. David was a great guide! He was very friendly and really knew his WWII history. He even made sure we made it to our train on time. Thanks David!

I must rate this tour 5 stars. Our guide was a local resident who treated the ground with all the respect and reverance possible. Lora (spelling?) was knowledgable in many areas of history and was able to make the intellectual link to cause and effect. Standing on Omaha Beach is an overwhelming experience and this tour guide understood that.

Excellent trip. David our guide and driver was great and enhanced the trip with his knowledge and photobook of Normandy as it was in the 1940's. He also recommended a great place for lunch.
