You can still find many traditional handicrafts in China’s bustling modern capital. Perhaps the best know are Cloisonné (a popular ancient metalworking technique), Ivory Carving, Lacquer and Jade. Other items that make good souvenirs include snuff bottles, artificial flowers, pearls and silk.
As you might expect, Beijing has a dazzling array of streets, business zones, shopping centers and markets to choose from.
