Things to Do in Beirut
The only major cosmopolitan city in Lebanon, Beirut has often been referred to as the Paris of the East, and for good reason. There are far too many sights, attractions, and activities that are worth doing to list, but here are a few suggestions for new visitors to the country’s capitol city.

The best way to get to know the city and its people is by visiting the various districts around the city. Downtown Beirut is full of shopping, restaurants, and wonderful cafés. For nightlife, be sure to head toward Ashrafieh. Hamra is a beautiful neighborhood that is popular with locals and visitors alike. If you’re hoping to take in the sunshine, there are many beach clubs, particularly in the Manara district.
